- Defensive Supporter
Ability: Sand Veil
Item: Leftovers
Moves: Earthquake / Roost / Stealth Rock / Taunt / Toxic
Experiment #1 (Defenses)
- Gliscor needs 252 HP EVs and Impish Nature to survive 2 Crunch from CB Tyranitar and counter it.
- Gliscor needs 252 HP EVs and Impish Nature to sruvive +1 DD + LO + Salamence´s Outrage.
- Glliscor needs 252 HP EVs and Impish Nature to survive 2 SD + Extremespeed from SD Adamant Lucario.
- Gliscor needs 208 HP EVs in order to survive two Bullet Punches from CB Scizor after SR damage.
- Gliscor needs 184 HP EVs in order to survive a Fire Blast from Scarf/Lead Heatran.
- Gliscor needs 208 HP EVs in order to not be 2HKO´d by SubCharge Rotom-A´s Shadow Ball.
- Gliscor needs 252 HP and 16 Def EVs in order to survive a Waterfall from Offensive Gyarados and be able to Taunt/Toxic it.
- Gliscor needs 252 HP EVs in order to take a Iron Head then Ice Punch from Scarf Jirachi.
- Gliscor needs 252 HP and 12 SpDef EVs in order to not get OHKO´d by MixPert´s Ice Beam.
- Gliscor needs 252 HP and 40 SpDef EVs in order to survive a Fire Blast from MixApe with SR damage.
- Gliscor needs 252 HP EVs in order to survive 2 Outrage from Scarf Flygon after SR damage.
- Gliscor needs 252 HP and 40 SpDef EVs in order to survive 2 Flash Cannons from +1 CM Jirachi.
From the above statistics we can see that Defensive Supporter Gliscor wants at least 252 HP EVs, 16 Def EVs and 40 SpDef EVs ith Impish Nature in order to counter many of its threats. Now lets see how much Speed this thing wants.
Experiment #2 (Speed)
Gliscor´s minimum Speed is 226. Gliscor´s max Speed without Speed Nature is 289. Gliscor´s max Speed is 317.
Pokemon that Gliscor can out speed with 317 and NOT 289:
- Jolly Lucario, Timid Roserade (w/ 307)
- Timid Rotom-A (w/ 299)
- Jolly Heracross, Timid Suicune, Kingdra (w/ 296)
Pokemon that Gliscor can out speed with 289 and NOT 226:
- Jolly Gyarados (w/ 288)
- Jolly Dragonite, Timid Togekiss (w/ 285)
- Adamant Lucario (w/ 280)
- Timid Heatran (w/ 279)
From the statistics above we can see that in order for Gliscor to out speed Jolly Lucario, it must be Jolly. We don´t have enough EVs to invest on Gliscors Speed over its crucial defenses . Thus, it is best to give it enough EVs to out speed Adamant Lucario.
Experiment #3 (Attack)
- 0 Atk EVs Earthquake will always 2HKO Scarf/CB/DD Tyranitars.
- Earthquake will always OHKO non-Shuca Heatrans.
- 0 Atk EVs Earhquake will 3HKO CM + Wish Jirachi.
- 0 Atk EVs Earthquake will always OHKO Lucarios with SR damage (98.2% - 116%). Gliscor needs 16 Atk EVs in order to OHKO Lucario without SR damage.
From the above statistics we can see that Gliscor is fine without any Atk EVs, while 16 Atk EVs does help it a little but isn´t that necessary.
=======================
From the statistics above we can conclude the following spreads to be ideal for Defensive Supporter Gliscor:
#1 Gliscor @ Leftovers + Impish + 252 HP / 40 SpDef / 216 Spe
======================

It has admirable speed and defenses and this set puts them to good use. The speed allows you to surpass non scarf Heatran and non speed boosting nature Lucario. Aerial Ace is for dealing with Heracross and other Bug, Fighting, and Grass types. While Stone Edge is to hit flying pokes like Salamence and Gyarados, and Ice Fang to hit dragons. Roost and Earthquake are pretty much a must since Gliscor needs a recovering move and Earthquake is just great stab and hits many things hard. Stealth Rock/ Knock Off are great for support. If you don’t need or already have a Pokemon that sets up Stealth Rock then go with Knock Off. If you want to outspeed Mixed Mence you will need: Jolly nature EVs: 252 HP/108 Def/148 Spd.

Great for a late game sweeping, this set utilizes both offenses and defenses. Stone Edge and Earthquake both provide great type coverage, or you can just Baton Pass the +2 atk from Swords Dance to another sweeper. Be sure not to pass on the wrong time, you don´t want your opponent out predicting you and damage the incoming poke badly or status it so it can´t sweep. If you don´t feel comfortable Baton Passing then stay in and deal damage with strong Earthquakes or Roost of some damage. For Ability you can either choose Hyper Cutter, so your attack stat won´t be lowered, or Sand Veil and have an extra turn to set up on a hopeful miss.

Experiment #2 (Speed)
Gliscor´s minimum Speed is 226. Gliscor´s max Speed without Speed Nature is 289. Gliscor´s max Speed is 317.
Pokemon that Gliscor can out speed with 317 and NOT 289:
- Eelectivire (Speed Tie)
- Jolly Lucario, Timid Roserade (w/ 307)
- Timid Rotom-A (w/ 299)

Earthquake is an appropriate name for this set because it wreaks havoc and chaos on your opponent! Taunt your opponent so they can’t set up Stealth Rock, status you, or set up. Roost off the damage they try to inflict on you and Earthquake them for good damage. Or U-turn out on Grass pokes like Celebi for tremendous damage. If you don’t feel like doing that you can always set up Stealth Rock or slowly melt away their HP from Toxic. Go crazy with this set.

Experiment #2 (Attack) + Life Orb
- Needs 252 Atk EVs in order to OHKO CB Scizor with SD + Earthquake.
- 252 Atk EVs will always OHKO non-RestTalking Rotom-A´s with SD + Night Slash. While 252 Atk EVs maximizes OHKO rate on RestTalk Rotom-A´s with SR up.
- 252 Atk EVs is needed to OHKO Bulky Gyarados with SD + Stone Edge.
- 252 Atk EVs is needed to always OHKO CM + Wish Jirachi with SD + Earthquake after SR damage.

- 252 Atk EVs + SD + Stone Edge will always OHKO Bold Zapdos´.
From the above statistics we can see that Gliscor wants 252 EVs in Atk in order to sweep all its threats.
=======================
From the statistics above we can conclude the following spreads to be ideal for SD Sweeper Gliscor:
#1 Gliscor @ Leftovers + Jolly/Adamant + 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

Just like the bulky SD sweeper but this one’s faster, more deadly, and doesn´t have to be a late game sweeper either. Fire Fang is to cover pokes like Skarmory and Bronzong, while Ice Fang is to hit Dragons. Choose Night Slash to hit Ghost and Psychics harder. Obviously Earthquake is for stab and great type coverage with Stone Edge which hits flying pokes like Gyarados.
Gliscor has admirable speed as well in this set, so use that to your full advantage. After one SD your opponent will be in a world of pain. If you get 2 Swords Dances in its pretty much good game, unless something faster can come in and KO you. Instead of Leftovers you can opt Yache Berry to live an Ice attack and maybe set up one more turn.

- SD + Earthquake will always OHKO CM + Wish Jirachi.
- Gliscor needs 44 EVs in Atk to OHKO Metagross with SD + Earthquake.
From the above statistics we can see that Gliscor wants 44 Atk EVs in order to be able to sweep at full will with defenses.

The idea of this set is to increase your attack to maximum by using Swords Dance 3 times, then Batton Passing to another of your Pokemon for a powerful sweep.
Roost is viable move, as it allows you to recover, if a Pokemon attacks you. Stone Edge or Earthquake are good, powerful attacking moves, which can do serious damage once you have used Swords Dance. The 40 EVs in attack allow for comfortable sweeping of foes. Earthquake is extremely useful for doing serious damage against Tyranitar, which is most likely to come out on field.
It is important to watch out for Pokemon such as Suicune, Mamoswine or HP Ice Infernapes - as, due to Gliscor's 4x Weakness to ice, can mean your setup will fail - as you'll get 1hit KO'd.
Most Used Set
Usually Gliscor is used as a form of a defensive wall since its best at walling great physical threats like Tyranitar and Heracross. You see Swords Dance sweeper and Baton Passer variants moderately common as well.
Other Options
Aqua Tail and Thunder Fang. Oh and you can max out the defense on the defensive set if you want to instead of speed. Nothing much else for this fearsome bat.
Usual Counters
Water and Ice pokes are its worst enemy. Celebi counters it to an extent as well. Levitating Pokemon like Gengar and Azelf can switch into it and hit back with strong Special Attacks, while Bronzong and Cresselia just purely wall it with Cresselia being able to Ice Beam it. Gyarados is an excellent wall since it lowers its attack (without Hyper Cutter), can hit for super-effective damage and most of Gliscor´s attacks do almost nothing to it. Rotom forms and Zapdos as well won´t be affected badly from Gliscor´s attacks. Watch out for Rotom-F/W and Hidden Power Ice from Zapdos.
Strong Special Attackers will give it a hurting which include Azelf, Gengar, Salamence, and Roserade. Some of the most deadly Water and Ice counters are: Swampert (huge one here), Starmie, Mamoswine, and Gyarados. There are others like Weavile but these Pokemon can easily switch in and not be KO´d from Gliscor´s Earthquake.
Opinion
One of the best defensive or offensive sweepers there is in the metagame today. It can counter a wide variety of pokes including Tyranitar and Lucario (if its not carrying Ice Punch), which adds to its usefullness.
