Using Hippowdon in battle

Most Used Hippowdon Set: A set running slack off, stealth rock, ice fang and earth quake is the optimal set of choice for a leading hippowdon.

Usual Counters: Like gliscor, hippowdon does not enjoy bulky waters switching into its attacks. Usually anything with a high special attack stat and a super effective special move on hippowdon can be called a “counter”.

Sets Used To Counter Its Counters: You could try a choice band set, but odds are it won’t be very effective.

Hippowdon Is Most Used On: Stall or sand storm teams.
