Using Abomasnow in battle
Most Used Abomo Set: Abomosnow usually runs a scarf or sub leesh seed set, the leesh seed sets usually packs a lot of special defence and defense evs, making it very bulky, enough to take salamenceís unboosted fire fang, or its outrage after a dragon dance, which is pretty sweet and very helpful. Now as for the scarf Abomosnow set, it will usually pack max speed evs with a boosting nature, thus making it reach a speed of 360, and with such a passable speed stat, and all its stab and high powered attacks coming from that amazing special attack stat it will probably ko or even 2hko almost every pokemon in the over used environment.
Usual Counters: Itís usual counters include some pokemons that are resistant to itís stab attacks, like bronzong for instance, although, the leesh seed set might give said bronzong some problems, since zongís gyro ball can not do more than 24% damage to abomosnow, meaning it canít break itís substitude, while hail negates itís leftovers and leesh seed will be sapping 12% of itís health each turn. And considering zong doesnít really get a recovery move, it will not be enjoying the health loss.
Sets Used To Counter Its Counters: Abomosnow runs the leesh seed set for the sole purpose of defeating its counters, since it can prove to be annoying and really hard to take down considering its defenses arenít that bad. To effectively counter it, you must not let it set up in the first place, so your lead pokemon will usually decide if it can or can not set up its leesh seed strategy (considering that almost every Abomosnow is used as a lead). If your lead poke can not break its sub or do any significant damage to it, then you might need to sacrifice a pokemon just to get rid of this annoying Christmas tree.
Abomsnow Is Used On: Hail teams, obviously, since it is the only pokemon in the game that has access to change the weather into a never ending hail storm automatically, unless tampered with another weather condition. Also a lot of pokemons can benefit from hail, but, to use an effective hail team, you have to put some spinners and fire, rock, and steel resists, since all the pokemonís who benefit from hail sadly, are, ice types, so be sure to stack water and steel or rock types, good examples that work on a hail team are tentacruel, whom also rids the awful sr which takes 25% damage from almost every ice type pokemon except mamaswine.
