---------------------The XatWide Pokemon Tournament---------------------

Welcome to the Xatwide Pokemon tournament Version 2. This was originally created by me last year. It is currently the biggest tournament on xat. The aim of this tournament is to bring together all the big pokemon-xat communities and prove to everyone who really is the best. last version was spectacular, with TU winning by 1 match. I'd like to congratulate Pokecentral101 and PokewifiCom for making it to the finals last version/year.

So let me clarify what the XWPT is, it is a tournament consisting of 8 big poke-xats. each xat chat will play another xat chat. The winners will progress to the next round and play another chat. Winning the XWPT gains your chat a whole load of popularity and all round fame. Your chat will be known as one of the best pokemon battling chats around.
But winnings not everything, just have fun.

----------------------------Joining the XWPT----------------------------
To join the XWPT you must fulfill all the requirements below.

-SHODDY is Priority
-The chat must have at least 5 capable pokemon battlers on Wi-fi or Shoddy.
-Each chat must have at least 2 people that can shoddybattle.
-You must get permission from the main owner of the chat.
-You must post in this thread to verify that you have joined.
-Your chat cannot be permitted to join if they are blacklisted.
-Respect all chats and chat members (Lol at this rule, take it seriously this time xD)
-Make sure you get your battles done before the deadline. (And don't **** about if you lose)

The rules in this tournament will be standard.

Evasion clause -You and your opponent can not use evasion increasing moves like double team and minimize. This clause does not include Accuracy reducing moves, as this is considered Pseudo Phazer.

Legit/legal clause - None of the pokemon can have illegal movesets, 999 in all stats, 255 EVs in all stats, 31 IVs in all stats, or have been caught in places that they normally wouldn't have been caught at. An example of an illegal moveset would be would be a Magnezone with Flamethrower or Salamance with Ice Beam.

OHKO clause - You and your opponent can not use moves that causes instant one-hit knockouts. Some examples would be sheer cold, fissure, and guillotine.

Sleep clause - Only one pokemon can be to sleep (on your side of the field) at a time. The only time your opponent can use another sleep move is when your pokemon either wakes up or faints, then your opponent can use a sleep move again. The move Rest does not count toward sleep clause, so if your opponent were to put a Pokemon asleep because of Rest, you can still use a sleep inducing move on your opponent. If you put to sleep a Pokemon that has the ability Natural Cure and your opponent switches out this Pokemon, you can put to sleep pokemon without breaking this clause.

Species clause - You and your opponent can not use more then one of the same pokemon. This means that you or your opponent can not use two Infernapes or Garchomps or two of the same pokemon in general.

Uber clause - You and your opponent can not use ubers in a battle. Refer to the link at the bottom of this post for the tier list.

*sigh* go figure. They pulled this crap months ago too when they randomly declared war on us. It's like, if you're gonna talk **** and act like you're elite, at least walk the walk. I'm pretty sick of their childish antics =/.

At least my opponent seemed like a nice enough guy. When I went there to get my battle done though, somebody randomly just started banning me, even after my opponent explained why I was there. Real cool *rolls eyes*

I think this is the worst inactivity I've ever seen. Seriously, it's pretty rude to join a tournament then go inactive.

Also, Team Captains, you should be actively trying to get your teammates to do their matches. I know if we didn't get this forfeit, I would have forced everybody on my team to contact their opponent and do this.

Oh really? That's weird, there's a link to our xat right on the first page of this topic. Interesting. Oh, I also wasn't aware that in order to get a match done w/ one of us, you have to be a member on our xat. I always just assumed you could PC the person you had to battle, so that you two can get it done. Or if that person's not there, maybe PC an owner/mod to let them know why you're there. That's just what I'd do though, just saying.

I don't get why people feel they need to be membered on our xat to play their matches, it makes no difference whatsoever. Also, a lot of you just come on, and don't even attempt to PC a mod or owner for membership. We are very exclusive, and very private, so we have no reason to member people that we don't even know.
