Drifambivoir looks sweet but the next one looks weird o_O The huge Raikou head on that little Absol's body looks really weird. Were you trying to make it look slightly like a Gargoyle?

Yeah that's actually what i was going for, I was going to scratch the head but the shading and lines are very oddly done on it and it's near impossible to scratch an exact smaller replica of it so i used the original.

Looks good mig, But you should really work on joint shading, For example the left arm at the top blends in, It should look as though there is an indent of at the top to make it look more natural, Same with the claws, Where you attached the claws should have a dark shade of the claw color to act as like a shadow since it's claws are raised, Easiest way to explain it is imagine the sun is at the side of the sprite that is stuck out most, Base your shading on this. it's hard to explain but this is as simple as i can explain it so i hope it helps bro <3 Good work.

these look alright, but you can see where it's a little messy in places, also never use a grey bg for a sprite, black draws dark colours in while white pushes the dark colours out displaying the detail more, if that grey bg was any darker you wouldnt be able to see the black outlines and dark shades since you also used dark & light shades of grey for the sprites body. stick with this but keep a white bg at all times and your work will look much neater and eye catching. you could also do some with light colours so you understand the difference colour has on how you look at them.

Your saving your sprites as a JPEG file. Save them as PNG. That used to happen to me alot, just asked.

This thing REALLY breaks the standard size dimensions, (About twice the size of Sazandora's sprite) but I like it nonetheless. Lastly, this is an incomplete sprite that I have started. Since I'm horrible at scratching quadruped sprites, I used Suicine for most of the body, and Tyranitar for part of the crest on its head.

There's some displacement at the wing at the right. Probably because that's where Ho-oh's body starts. Maybe a bit scratch could fix, could make the difference for winning.

This and make the left ear Silver (or right ear silver to match the collar), so it either shows neutrality or intentional polarity.

Also, I'd suggest making the eyes blue, so it doesn't look like you're using such a tiny palette.

that's really good for your first attempt, you need to work on your scratching alot though and your recoloring is overshadowed by the black detail lines, good job none the less.
