I started this thread to ask everyone which 3rd generation Pokemon game is your favorite

Emerald because it's the remake of Ruby and Sapphire. I kind of liked the Red gear in Pokemon Ruby better than the Green and Blue gears from Emerald and Sapphire respectively. xD

Emerald for sure, you can catch rayquaza, kyougre, groudon, regice, registeel, and Regirock. Emerald is practically ruby and sapphire combined in my opinion

I do have to say Pokemon Emerald since this game is all started to play pokemon. I also had to include, but isn't FireRed/LeafGreen is created in 3rd Generation? (If you know what I mean), I also do like that game too.

I have Ruby and Sapphire and played through both of them but I can say without a doubt,(though I never played this one) it has to be Emerald.

Pokemon Colloseum. I AM A REBEL. If not Colloseum, I'll go with Ruby. Zangoose, my favorite Pokemon, is in both of those games, but not in Sapphire or Emerald. That's evil in my opinion and I can only be satisfied with a Zangoose by my side.

Emerald for sure. It has everything ruby and sapphire has, plus a battle frontier! After beating the elite four many many times, you need something to do right? So head to the battle frontier and get all the 14 (I think) badges!

I like Ruby a bit better. I've just liked how it is. Though I do admit Emerald and Sapphire are both great games for me but Ruby has earned its place.

Ruby was my first-ever main series Pokemon game. I got the chance to play older ones later, sure, but Ruby was the beginning. I don't think any extra Emerald features will make up for that.

I like Emerald. Any game with the challenge of finding Skitty is the game for me!
I also chose emerald because I want the best of both worlds.

Emerald is the only 3rd Generation game I have played so far, but from what I've heard and seen, it seems to be a lot better than R/S. I can't really judge FR/LG.

Emerald. Rayquaza is just too awesome for the likes of Groudon or Kyogre. (If I was thinking competitively I would go for Groudon more, but in terms of normal gameplay, yeah)

To be honest, Ruby. I know Emerald had more stuff, but Ruby was the first Pokemon game I ever owned, bought and beat on my own. It's just a bigger nostalgia trip.

Otherwise, I'd say emerald. It was my first game, and it's the only 3rd Gen game on the GBA with pokemon animations.

While Emerald is great, I actually prefer Ruby and Sapphire. This is probably mainly because of the novelty value. The quality of the sound and the graphics of Ruby really blew my mind when I first played it, especially in comparison to games like Pokemon Crystal. While I still like second generation a little bit better, third gen really was a big step forward in terms of presentation.
