Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I got bored recently and decided to make the scrubbiest OU team I could think of, so I set out to make a Rotom-W set in Pokemon Online. By the time I was done with Rotom I had completely forgotten the other Pokémon that I wanted to use. So I just decided to make a mixed tier team, containing 2 OUs, 2 UUs and 2 NUs. I tried to stay away from Smogon when making these sets, so I'm sure there's plenty of improvements to be made.

My Team at a Glance:

In-depth look:

http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/479-wash.gif
Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Modest Nature
144 HP 252 Sp. Att. 112 Spd
Volt Switch
Hydro Pump
Trick
Will-O-Wisp

Really great lead, from what I've seen so far. Most leads tend to be really tanky, so I can usually pass the scarf onto them while they use Stealth Rock or a status move. After that, I can inflict whatever they switch in with a burn or hit it with a fairly powerful STAB move.

http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/482.gif
Azelf @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
Timid Nature
252 HP 252 Spd 4 Sp. Def
Reflect
Light Screen
Taunt
Stealth Rock

I've found this Azelf to be great for switching into Substitute users, and pretty much everything in general. Azelf can take hits like a champ, and will often get to set up (at least) both screens and rocks before going out. I would like to take advantage of Azelf's amazing offensive capabilities but this set as is has saved my bum time and time again, allowing Charizard and Salamence to set up more easily.

http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/006.gif
Charizard @ Leftovers
Ability: Blaze
Adamant Nature
252 Attack 252 Spd 4 HP
Belly Drum
Fire Punch
Dragon Claw
Earthquake

This set was made very quickly in the moment of sheer joy that ensued when I found out that Charizard could learn Belly Drum. The strategy here is to set up Belly Drum to get to (or near) Blaze range and then do crazy amounts of damage with Fire Punch. There are lots of problems with this Charizard that keep it from being amazing, but it's pretty darn fast and can hold its own against a lot of OUs even without max attack.

http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/143.gif
Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
Careful Nature
188 HP 104 Defense 216 Sp. Def
Curse
Rest
Body Slam
Earthquake

Snorlax is a beautiful tank. Without screens up he can take pretty much any hit, save STAB Close Combat. With the screens up, Snorlax can easily Curse up to max Attack/Defense. Body Slam is good for da parahax and Rest comes in handy a lot of the time.

http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/497.gif
Serperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
Timid Nature
252 HP 128 Defense 128 Sp. Def
Leaf Storm
Substitute
Synthesis
Hidden Power Fire

Contrary Serperior is beautifully broken. With that ability, Leaf Storm now raises Serperior's Sp. Attack stat 2 stages with every use. At +6 with no Sp. Attack EVs Serperior will have 740 Sp. Attack, a 140 base power STAB move and neutral damage against everything but Dragon. That's pretty ridiculous for NU.

http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/373.gif
Salamence @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Relaxed Nature
252 HP 252 Defense 4 Sp. Def
Roost
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Fire Fang

Nobody would ever expect a bulky Salamence, right? Right? Well anyways, this thing makes another good tank because of all the resistances he gets. He's usually used to stall for a bit. With D-Dances up he's just as good as your standard physical Mence, with the added bulk and access to healing. I really like this set, for some reason.

Hope ya liked it!

These sets aren't really that original tbh, I've seen similar/same ones before. They're certainly not standard though.
For Charizard, why not run the Substitute speed-berry thing? You can Sub when forcing a switch, belly drum into blaze range and get the +1 speed from the berry. I remember seeing it a long time ago, but it might work a little better than your current set. (then again stealth rock wrecks him so idk)

I kinda feel your team lacks any real focus. It feels like a dual screen-bulky setup team, but azelf is the only screen user (no soft clay) and has to set up stealth rocks. A lot of OU threats can cause huge trouble for your team, so I don't really feel like the "Mixed tiers + original sets" thing will really be effective. For example, Specs Latios will OHKO something every time it switches in, and the only pokemon you have that's fast enough to hit him is Rotom, who can't switch in or do major damage to him. Scizor will hurt, as will terrakion, etc. If one poke goes down you potentially lose your only check to a major threat and can lose the battle off of that. A lack of speed and resistances kinda undermines your team. In particular the lack of a steel type is worrying, as well as the fact that Salamence, your only real fighting check, is weak to stealth rock.

I like the concept, but it has a couple of kinks that need to be worked out.

For one, why Azelf for the Dual screener? There are many tankier Pokemon that can do the exact same thing or provide more. Uxie and Deoxys-D do this same thing and are tankier, Latias has Wish, and Cresselia has Lunar Dance, and since you aren't attacking, Deoxys-S does this as well but with more speed. Espeon is also a very good consideration, because your Charizard set is entirely ruined if it switches into Stealth Rock.

On Charizard, I would definitely use Substitute and Salac Berry. If not, it's simply going to get outsped and killed.

I really love the strategy of setting up dual screens and then sweeping with Serperior. Salamence can do this as well, and for that reason I believe you should build him entirely offensively.

One last thing, I would recommend that you run some sort of Paralysis support, probably on Rotom. You basically have three attempts to sweep (Maybe four if you count Snorlax), while Rotom and Azelf/other generic dual screener are supportive.

But it's a fun and unique team. I like it a lot. ^_^

It's not a good lead. It's setup fodder for Ferrothorn, which can use Spikes 3 times in a row, and Tyranitar.

Azelf @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
Timid Nature
252 HP 252 Spd 4 Sp. Def
Reflect
Light Screen
Taunt
Stealth Rock
Psychic/Fire Blast > Light Screen, else you're Taunt bait.

I suggest replacing Salamence or Serperior with a Rapid Spinner if you want to keep Charizard. There are lots of problems with this Charizard that keep it from being amazing, but it's pretty darn fast and can hold its own against a lot of OUs even without max attack.

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
Careful Nature
188 HP 104 Defense 216 Sp. Def
Curse
Rest
Body Slam
Earthquake
Walled by Gengar and Dusknoir. This may look crazy, but replace Earthquake for Crunch, because you have Pokemon that can handle Steels and Rocks.
Snorlax is a beautiful tank. Without screens up he can take pretty much any hit, save STAB Close Combat. With the screens up, Snorlax can easily Curse up to max Attack/Defense. Body Slam is good for da parahax and Rest comes in handy a lot of the time.

Heatran, I choose you!

http://sprites.pokecheck.org/i/373.gif
Salamence @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Relaxed Nature
252 HP 252 Defense 4 Sp. Def
Roost
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Fire Fang
Again, Heatran walls this set all day, and can OHKO with HP Ice.

Your team is pretty good, but you have serious problems with Heatran(especially the Air Balloon variant) and ghosts.

I've seen your team in action. It's a good team, you just need to get the predicting down. Any team can be good as long as you can predict what is going to happen. If you can't predict, you won't win. That is advice for all you noobs.
