View Full Version : Another Sacred Stones PMU
FE7's was fun so I decided to do another, and then I can compare with LP to see who came off worse!
Rules/Guidelines:
1. I will be using Eirika and Ephraim.
2. I will be playing on Hard Mode and decide which route to go based upon my picks.
3. I need ten units to be picked.
4. Pick a unit and his/her promotion path, if applicable.
5. No picking Marisa or Super Trainees. I'd rather not have to train Marisa without Valni, and I'll be playing on something with no completed files, so Super Trainees aren't an option.
6. I may use Valni to get trainees to level 10, if I deem it necessary.
Well, have fun screwing me over, Urist, LP and whoever else understands this game.
1. Falcoknight!Tana - I LOVE LORD PENGUIN!!!!
2. Wyvern Knight!Vanessa - Granted to be by the amazing Urist over Skype.
3. Assassin!Joshua - I was gonna do this at some point anyway, I guess, Mando.
4. Druid!Knoll - SacredScrapDragon is the bringer of bad mages.
5. Sage!Artur - I no longer want to kill Shiningbolt.
6. Great Knight!Amelia - Lord Penguin has not made her a General and therefore I am happy.
7. Hero!Ross - Shiningbolt, I don't feel screwed over! :D
8. Axedwarf!Dozla - Tea has some sort of relation to a dwarf...
9. Sage!Ewan - Sure, why not, Tea?
10. Hero!Garcia - Even though Zoupo does not come on this site at all.

I would recommend using Joshua and promoting him to Assassin.
I like what's happened here. I'm not even bothered by the Assassin promotion over Swordmaster because of the other two and the fact that I wanted to try Assassin!Josh at some point. :D

Chapter 7: I'll actually talk about my strategy if it's not a chapter like this. Vanessa baited Murray's Javelin and let Garcia kill him with the Halberd.

Chapter 8: Fighters and Colm go north. Everyone else heads west, meets up with Ephraim and goes north. Forgot to take down Eirika's stats before Ephraim route.

Chapter 9: Got Amelia. She did nothing. Got Tana, she built a support with Eph. Ross and Garcia weakened Gheb for Artur to kill. Killer Axe obtained.

So, I tried Phantom Ship about ten times and I am no longer sure whether it is even possible.
So, PS was nearly impossible so I restarted and played the game up to ch.8 and actually put levels into things because everyone was very low. Also, Ephraim's speed. o_O Will probably go Eir route anyway this time.

9-Eirika: Distant Blade
I seem to keep finding cases of "this would be incredibly easy if I had a normal team". If I wanted Amelia this chapter normally, I would have Vanessa fly to the Rapier while holding Eirika and then drop her on the left side near Amelia's spawn. Those two can easily deal with the enemies down there. I tried to do this several times and it would have worked if I actually had a Cavalier or two to kill the Mercs on the crossing. However, I didn't and as you can imagine, a force of Garcia, Ross, Artur, base Tana and Josh aren't the best for that. Especially when Josh has to kill pirates sneaking up from the rear and Ross GETS DOUBLED BY EVERYTHING. So I had to early promote Vanessa just so that I actually had someone that can pull off a sure kill in an emergency, and then in the end Amelia ran away the turn before I could reach her. =/ If I had Franz/Forde or someone I probably could have done this. But since I have been doing this all day I don't really care and will just grab her in chapter 13. If Ross' performance is anything to go by, I'm probably doing myself a favor by not giving me more chapters where I have to field her. Speaking of, I feel early promotion will become a trend in this run, as much as I hate it, because Ross cannot live with 5 Speed. At all.

Going to start finishing these now that I'm totally sure that this is fine.
Restarted, first eight chapters were fairly standard. All went pretty well with one lolcia death and a couple Nessy ones. Gonna promote Vanessa and Artur for chapter 9 to get the former's strength to EIGHT and let Artur use staves. Idk how I'll do chapter 9 since my team can't really take the start but needs to rush for Amelia.

[9] Promoted Artur and Vanessa, deployed Seth for a little bit of extra help rushing since without him I spent about five turns at the start. Got both villages and Amelia. Grinded her to 10/1 in the tower.
[10] Amelia and Tana steal kills, Josh promotes. (Maybe I should have gone with Ross/Garcia since they need the speed, but eh.)
