Pokemon Liquid Crystal

It's a hack of Pokemon FRLG that reedits the GSC story. It's somewhere between GSC and HGSS and it's made by linkandzelda.

The current version is beta 3.2, RC1 will be released later this year.

Did anybody play this game?

I thought that Liquid Crystal (especially "X", its "hard mode" version) was a really fun game to play. In fact, I'd say it's just as good, if not, better than HeartGold/SoulSilver. Really interesting hacked remake. :)

I actually heard about this game like a few months ago. Saw the gameplay and stuff and it turns out a pretty good, tbh. I'm very interested to play the game but not right now.

Funny enough my good friend told me about this Pokemon hack. I recall a few components of the story line, and it really does sound interesting! I would love to try it sometime. It seems to be at times that hacks can be better story lines for the actual Pokemon series rather than the overly kid-friendly ones. But Liquid Crystal! Yay. <3

I got this game, but never really played it for some reason. I mean, it's a lot like Pokemon Shiny Gold, but with more music added and whatnot.
...I should probably do that at some point after I finish doing other random things.

Liquid Crystal has full Kanto, unlike Shiny Gold.

Whoops. My original post was misleading. Anyways, yeah it similar to Shiny Gold (Johto + Kanto) but Liquid Crystal added the Orange Islands in this game.

Kinda incorrect infomation mate. Liquid Crystal take place in Johto first and then Kanto (it's like HG/SS). It is similar to Shiny Gold but the difference and cool part about this game, Liquid Crystal is you can go to Orange Islands!

Yeah but, Ubers never said that the game didn't take place in Johto, rather that Liquid Crystal actually has a complete Kanto region to accompany it.

I prefer the 4th and 5th gen hacks because Physical and Special moves make a lot more sense in those games, I prefer it like that.

I play all Pokemon hacks and this is one of the best ones that I've played coming second to Light Platinum. I like the name and it was very fun to play and I highly recommended.

I have never played it but it sounds cool. Most hacks are good as long as the creator knows what they're doing.
