Which names seem like they are made for that particular sport?
One that comes to mind for me is Johnny Field, who played on the U of A baseball team last season.

What names can you all think of?

Last I heard, Prince Fielder is the usual first baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers. That's all I can think of, but I think there were a few more baseball players back in the day that had names like that.

Any of you know Joachim Standfest? No? Thought so...
Standfest basically means "steady" or "stable" and considering he plays as defender in soccer, I think that name fits him quite well.

NAC Breda, the soccer club from the town I live in, is actually called "Nooit Opgeven Altijd Doorzetten Aangenaam Door Vermaak En Nuttig Door Ontspanning Combinatie Breda" when the name is unabbreviated. Yikes.

Oh, and I heard this weird story about a Thai female weightlifter, who was told that if she'd change her name to "Prapawadee Jaroentattanatrakoon" she'd win gold at the Beijing Olypics. And did. 0_0

Best sports names? Hmm......
So far, Chad Ochocinco, and Shaquille O'Neal has the best sports name ever I seen (in my opinion).

Tim Teboe.

I don't even know how to spell it, is it Tim Tebow? Because I get the funniest vibes when I think of him praying in that field. xD

Lindsey Van, the ski jumper, because her name sounds almost like Lindsey Vonn...
Am I bored?
