Yep, I C&P'd from my Thread at Serebii. Time to rack up points, post count, and stuff. Originally this team was Rapid Spin Cloyster / SD Poison Heal Ice Fang Gliscor / Offensive SD Aqua Jet Empoleon / Paralysis spreading Gallade / Scarf Rotom-H / Sub-Gar with Shadow Ball / Thunderbolt / Icy Wind. You can see the discussion here if you want. (http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=521760)

"Team Preview"

- Started off with Gliscor. Because I wanted some kinda guy that I could form the core of my team around and "sweep".
http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/9927/gliscor.gif
- Added on Gallade, since he has some pretty OK SDef to help Gliscor and stuff. Also he has Wish.
http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/5935/4750.gif
- Added on Empoleon, due to resisting both of Gliscor's weaknesses.
http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/3783/395b.gif
- Added on Rotom-H, for resistances to Ice, Electric, and Flying. And stuff like that.
http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/479-heat.gif
- Added on Gengar since every team needs a Ghost type.
http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/2159/gengaranimated.gif
- Added Cloyster as a "lead". No really, he's not my anti-lead lead like Krookodile. That sucked. He throws guys off track.
http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/9803/cloysteranimated.gif
- Tested Team. Have a 5W / 2L Record. Also barely won against some Chinese guy.

- Posted Team.

- Made some edits, Gliscor > Garchomp

- Mor edits thanks to TBird, Empoleon and Gallade > Jirachi and because I removed 2 and added 1, I have a free slot. Azumarill checks stuff similar to Empoleon, so yep.

- Changed Gay-gar's set to Sub-Disable

- Ferrothorn over Jirachi

The Team

http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/9803/cloysteranimated.gif
Cloyster @ White Herb
Ablity: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Atk / 48 SAtk / 208 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Shell Smash
- Hydro Pump
- Icicle Spear
- Rock Blast

Cloyster. OK I can skip the introduction of the introductery Pokemon.

Shell Smash is a must. Otherwise Starmie wins the lead position. It raises all 3 Important Stats. Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. Hydro Pump because Hydro Pump. Screw that other move... err, what was it again? Icicle Spear, AKA The Cloyster move. Rock Blast, because utility + sweep = fail.

EVs / Nature
Naive because my Defense is precious. Allows Cloyster to take hits. Lots of Mach Punching hits. EVs to outrun ScarfChomp and hit hard.

http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/2159/gengaranimated.gif
Gengar (F) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Disable
- Substitute

Hello again, old friend. Gengar is one of the awesome new IV bred guys from Platinum. He's my second lead, since he has that Icy Wind + Shadow Ball thing. Also he mashes stuff hard. OK In-Game it's a she but the sprite tells otherwise.

Shadow Ball = STAB. That's a math lesson for you. Focus Blast Gives me perfect coverage over everything except it makes me vunerable to the 6th Gen Normal / Ghost. Disable because I said so. Also, SUBDISABLE. Substitute helps me stall for damage, kinda like how I need Stealth Rocks sometimes. Life Orb, Toxic Orb, Burn Orb, blah.

EVs / Nature
Figure it out yourself, I've said it a trillion times.

http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/4457/garchomp.gif
Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Dual Chop

ScarfChomp > Gliscor. He checks Salamence, Dragonite, Sun Sweepers, etc. Also he whacks stuff. Hard.

Outrage is cool. It wrecks stuff including Haxorus. Earthquake because it's STAB Numbero Dos. I think that's number two. Stone Edge because Volcarona ***** on me. Fire Blast for Steels.

EVs / Nature
Obvious EVs. No explaination needed.
http://dialgafans.pytalhost.de/Front/598.gif
Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
- Stealth Rock

Jirachi. Empoleon + Gallade = Jirachi. Yep. Jirachi = Ferrothorn. Kinda.

Power Whip because Gyro Ball gets a power drop VS a slow opponent. And that happens thanks to Thunder Wave. Leech Seed = Wish supportish. Works with Gengar to an extent. Stealth Rock because my team needs Stealth Rock support and stuff.

EVs / Nature
High Special Bulk because he needs it. Also to take random attacks, since I really need to survive that -2 Flamethrower / HP Fire

http://dialgafans.pytalhost.de/Front/184.gif
Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower
- Ice Punch
- Waterfall

Keeping up the "slow and powerful" theme of my team's core. OK Nevermid forget I said that. Also it checks 'Xcadrill. And Cloyster.

Aqua Jet to check 'Xcadrill. And Terrorkion. And to speed him up a little. Superpower to check Cloyster... I think. Ice Punch because he also checks ScarfChomp. Waterfall for consistency.

http://pldh.net/media/pokemon/gen5/blackwhite_animated_front/479-heat.gif
Rotom-H @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SAtk / 216 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Trick
- Overheat
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch

That's right, it. No really, Rotom is Genderless. It checks Gyarados and counters Ferrothorn. And Checks Thundurus. I had a battle earlier and I tricked my Scarf onto a Conkeldurr. Next thing I knew, it Paybacked my 11 HP Empoleon who was hoping to outrun it. ~!@$%^&*(
Also this guy is fun to use. Had a Trick war against a Transform Mew. SHUDDA SWITCHED TO GLISCOR ARGH.

Trick locks my target onto a move of their choice. Yep. Overheat burns stuff up. Thunderbolt = STAB Numbero Uno. Volt Switch lets this guy lead on occasion. It also lets me counter their switch in.

EVs / Nature
EV'd to outrun Gyarados. And have bulk.

Closing
I've had trouble against Weather Teams, specifically Sun. Rotom's Overheat becomes Overpowered under the sun, but Azumarill becomes kinda useless. In Rain, it's the other way around.

Changes in White as usual.

Alakazam - Ferrothorn walls it to hell. Azumarril can revenge / switch into Shadow Ball and KO with Aquatic Jetting moves.

Azumarill - Cloyster. setsup.

Blaziken - Gengar outspeeds. As does Garchomp. As does Rotom. All can KO but Rotom. Azumarill KOs even Speed Boosters.

Blissey - Gengar is untouchable after it throws a sub, as long as Blissey lacks Ice Beam / Flamethrower / Thunderbolt.

Breloom - Gengar. Rotom. Garchomp.

Chandelure - Garchomp, Azumarril. I'm not stating reasons unless I really need to now.

Cloyster - Azumarill.

Conkeldurr - Ehr, it gets a double KO before I kill it. Overheat might KO but I'm not sure.

Ditto - What's it gonna do? Nothing!

Dragonite - Icicle Spear! Thunder Wave! Outrage! Icy Wind! Ice Punch!

Espeon - I don't inflict status outside of Thunder Wave. And don't set up hazards either.

Excadrill - Azumarill.

Ferrothorn - Rotom. Azumarill 2HKOs but POWERWHIPARGH.

Forretress - See above minuspowerwhipargh.

Garchomp - Screw this thing, I have Icicle Spear and stuffs. See Dragonite.

Genesect - Go, Rotom! (Walled, and Checked)

Gengar - Aqua Jet.

Gliscor - Ice Punch. See Garchomp.

Gyarados - Rotom.

Haxorus - Ferrothorn.

Heatran - Azumarill. Garchomp.

Hippowdon - Cloyster. Azumarill. Man this is boring.

Hydreigon - Azumarill. Ferro.

Infernape - Rotom. Azumarill.

Jellicent - Walls me? Nope. Unless Garchomp dies, then yes. Ferrothorn walls it back. Gengar "walls" it back.

Jirachi - Rotom. Frothorn. Azumarill. All take Iron Head until tomorrow. Garchomp revenges but can be Iron Headed to hell.

Keldeo - Chompy revenge. Rotom revenge.

Kingdra - Frothorn

Landorus - Gengar. Cloyster. Azu.

Latias - Ferro walls. Garchomp revenges.

Latios - Ferro walls. Garchomp revenges.

Lucario - Garchomp revenges. Rotom stops. Azumarill revenges.

Magnezone - Rotom, Garchomp.

Metagross - Rotom dead stops it. Garchomp switches in on Thunderpunch. And kills. Cloyster can setup. CAN. But it's unlikly to be KOd by Hydro Pump.

Mew - It's too versatile for me to tell you how I counter it.

Ninetales - Azumarill... doesn't work. Chompy.

Politoed - Ahzoomareel walls it, and Waterfall hits RIDICULOUSLY hard in the rain.

Porygon2 - Rotom resist Bolt Beam. Ferro wall.

Reuniclus - Rotom can Trick it. If it sets up, hopefully it's taken enough damage for Garchomp to revenge. Or Azumarill.

Salamence - Garchomp revenge kills. Ferro handles Mixmence without Fire Blast, but that's 0 of them

Scizor - Rotom takes hits all day. Azumarill can also take a hit and KO... I think. Cloyster might be able to setup, I think.

Scrafty - Parahax. Shed Skin *****, but flinchhax. It can't take repeated hits too well either.

Serperior - Rotom... Argh.

Skarmory - Rotom, Cloyster, Ferrothorn, Azumarill. All take a hit and 2HKO at least. Except Ferro. You know.

Starmie - Rotom revenges. Man I rely too much on Rotom. Ferro walls.

Swampert - Gengar.

Tentacruel - Dude, 3/6 of my team is immune to Toxic Spikes. Garchomp kills all. Ferro walls, but can't really do damage.

Thundurus - Rotom, Chompy, Ferro?.

Togekiss - Gengar... Frothorn... Rotom... zzz

Tyranitar - Azumarill. Duh. What's it gonna do, like seriously.

Vaporeon - Ferrothorn. JIRACHI OWNed.

Venusaur - Rotom Overheats the overheated venue.

Volcarona - In the sun, it screws me. Garchomp is the result of this.

Zapdos - Rotom walls. Takes hits. Garchomp kills non-defensive.

Zoroark - ...Uh huh.

- TBird, Fa7e and MAA for commenting.

- beshort and T100 for being annoying... like #$%^&*()

- People who ripped the sprites, like I know who.

- GameFreak for making this game... ehr.

- PO for the format that I use... But why Trait?

-- Additional Comments, I.E. Changes to make, Etc --

Since I refuse to double post, I've been thinking, Starmie over Cloyster, since ever since I changed Cloyster's Rapid Spin to Rock Blast, it didn't quite work as a spinner. Heh. So, How about

Starmie @ Focus Sash
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt / Grass Knot
- Rapid Spin

And yes, I did just make that up on the spot without opening PO or something. I love doing that. The only difference is that I omitted the Gender and changed Trait to Ability. Man I need to get a life D:

i dont think garchomp gets dual chop....

well i cant really say much to help your team
its definatly OP and very predictable (especially ferrothorn)
but heat rotom is definatly a nice addition to your team

Eh, well I liked the original team better anyhows. Too bad it's for competitive purposes, so I have to fine tune it to fit. Gallade and Empoleon were so awesome... Especially Gallade :(
Focus Punch + Parahax Ftw. The Garchomp over Gliscor was one of the better decisions, though. Lets see, maybe I still have that original team...

Anyway, how does Starmie W/ Rapid Spin over Cloyster sound? Lead Starmie, I.E. Hydro Pump / Ice Beam / Thunderbolt / Rapid Spin @ Sash. Might go Psychic > Hydro Pump due to the overwhelming number of Conkeldurrs now, and Grass Knot > Thunderbolt to help with those @%^& Quagsires.

Edit, here's the original team without edits.

Garchomp does get Dual Chop, but you're right. The team is a little too predictable. Seeing the Cloyster as a lead just screams "Shell Smash abuser", and seeing how most leads carry Taunt, and Cloyster's average speed without the Shell Smash, it can easily be shut down, especially from the likes of Whimsicott, who can Taunt Cloyster and U-turn out of there. I'd say give Cloyster a Mental Herb or a Focus Sash. White Herb is pointless because, while Shell Smash does lower defenses, Cloyster has high defense anyway (so the defense drop won't matter) and already has low Spec. Def (so the Special Defense drop won't matter either).

Well, White Herb is useful to some extent at least since it allows me to survive 2 Mach Punches instead of one, Gives me 2 chances against Banded Ferrothorn, something something etc... Mainly useful for not being killed by Priority. And it is a little predictable. ...

Any suggestions on how to make it less predicable without unchecking certain threats? I could change Cloyster to Starmie, as mentioned before. Or something else. With Rapid Spin. Cloyster doesn't do much... Other than pull off sweeps on noobs :P

You should replace Hydro Pump with Razor Shell/Ice Shard and go adamant nature. Why? Hydro Pump miss hax will get you killed and Razor Shell is stab + you can go adamant for more damage. Ice Shard is also stab, but it's meant to outspeed things who think they can easily come in and priority kill you(this works for any non steel type). You should also run a Sash instead of white herb. You'll outspeed and sweep anything anyway so what's the real point if they can't even touch you?

Other than that the team looks pretty good.

Problem with Razor Shell I find is Physical Walls like Skarm. Can't remember if Hydro Pump is a KO on him or something, but I know it's got something to do with Physical walls. Razor Shell does help with my Quagsire problem though. I'll think about it. I don't know why everyone wants a Sash, since 99% of the time Cloyster comes in, SR is already up. Rotom usually becomes my lead anyway. Also, I switch Cloyster onto Physical attackers, not special ones. Cloyster's Defense is a jaw breaking 396 without investment, after that I drop down to 198, which is still OK but I become suspectible to Mach and Bullet Punchers. Plus Dragonite / Lucario. Also on the Special Defense side, if I become Jolly there's even more reason to keep the Herb so that Vacuum Waves, while very uncommon, don't KO Cloyster.

Eh, OK actually I think this team is pretty done right now, especially since I transferred it over from Serebii. Lets get a Mod to close this thread :P
