Armaldo, the fossil pokemon, no one really knows it's potential as a wall since it has 300+ hp and sp.def in ss and 250+ defence if evs correctly that is, which is very good considering not many people really know what's it's type since it really is that forgotten and even if they did many people seem to forget his common weaknesses.

Bugging Bug @ leftovers
ability: Battle Armor
evs: 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spe
nature: Adamant
- Swords Dance
- X-Scissor
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

This is best used in ou where there’s a permanent ss to help armaldo's sp.def out, sword dance for a way of boosting your attack and it shouldn't be hard considering armaldo is one bulky *******, x-scissor for a reliable stab and for hurting dark type's badly, earth quake to hurt those fire types, stone edge for yet another stab move, whilst doing very good damage to those fliers, although lot's of people forget that armaldo is neutral to bug and assume that he's rock and don't use flying moves which are really affective on it, don't expect to be sweeping hell with this like garchomp since armaldo is one really slow pokemon.

Polish Ur Rockies Buggy @ life orb
ability: Battle Armor
evs: 14 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe
nature: adamant
- Rock Polish
- X-Scissor
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

Not much comment here, just basically sweep once you hit 374 speed after one rock polish and your attack is almost 500 thanks to lo, lo is actually suggested over leftovers since without sd you really need the lo boost to hurt stuff.

Toxic Stall? @ leftovers
ability: Battle Armor
evs: 252 hp/ 180 sp.def/ 78 def
nature: impish
- Toxic
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Dig

This is a set of my own creation, it's kinda gimmicky but affective, Dig is only listed to help with the stalling from toxic, protect also does that as well, seismic toss is here because without any atk evs he's not gonna hurt much, toxic to really starts stalling, and ss+ toxic damage will slowly kill your opponent, dig can also cause some damage, ss also boosts his sp.def into astromonical levels, this set is really fun to use and your opponent should be very annoyed when you starts stalling with this bad boy.

Bug Of Choice @ choice band
ability: Battle Armor
evs: 14 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe
nature: adamant
- X-Scissor
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Knock Off

This is your normal CBer, if your not using CB and chose scarf armaldo hit's 280 speed which makes him fast enough to maybe tie jolly mamosiwne as some run 280 speed to outrun adamant sd luke which on a plus side you do as well, knock off since well his physical move pool is nothing amazing and knock off can be fun knocking off a chomp's yachee which aids your team in taking it down, but seriously no one with knowledge about armaldo's awesomeness will really not switch to chomp as that would cost for them to loosing their precious land shark.

Support Maldo @ leftovers
ability: Battle Armor
evs: 244 HP / 14 Atk / 252 Def
nature: impish
- Rock Blast
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off/ Rapid Spin
- Toxic

Rock blast is really fun to use since it breaks subs, stealth rock is for some team support, rapid spin if you really are desperate although aramldo offers nothing that other rapid spinners do and takes 25% damage from stealth rocks and is affected by spikes and toxic spikes which means he's not nothing special going on but since it's one of those few pokes that learn rapid spin it can be sued, knock off is as mentioned above, really really fun, and toxic is to mess up some bulky waters who don't have rest(vaporeon or some milotic) which is really good since they are taking 6,12,18 etc damage thanks to ss deleting their lefty's and they can't do crap to armaldo under ss.

Other Options: Rock Slide is on offer if you want more accuracy than Stone Edge and Rock Blast. Screech may force switches, and can be useful on a team with Spikes support.

Evs: You should probably stick with the one's mentioned since they give you the much needed bulk, although you can opt for 252 atk and spd evs but that's not helping much since your not anything notable and decreasing your survivability.

Opinion: obviously really underrated, but people find him useless thanks to his poor speed, but he's a really bulky Sder although his typing isn't really that cool, but still 2 resistances isn't that bad considering the phenomena of normal type's like blissey etc, all in all he should really be considered if you like to go and play with some really fun to use pokes like me, and do something crazy like make uu work in ou like me as well, then armaldo's your man.

Counters: Skarmory is a pain if you don't outspeed it, since he can stall out Stone Edge by Roosting (beware of predicted Earthquakes), use Brave Bird to hit Armaldo for decent damage, and phaze away Swords Dance and Rock Polish. Metagross and Rhyperior can handle two or three Earthquakes and will KO Armaldo with Meteor Mash and Stone Edge, respectively.

Bulky Water-types do okay against the Swords Dance set, but bear in mind that Surf won't OHKO a sturdier Armaldo without a lot of EV investment. Thankfully, Milotic and Suicune are both faster than Armaldo and Swampert boasts a Rock resistance. Empoleon can handle both STAB moves thanks to his Steel typing, but he is vulnerable to Earthquake as a result.

In general, Armaldo's worst enemy is his own poor Speed. Failing to outrun such a wide range of Pokémon hinders his ability to sweep and forces him to switch out on Pokémon he could otherwise KO, like Tyranitar.
