Togekiss

http://pokemon.supercheats.com/artwork/468.png

Typing: Normal / Flying

Abilities

Serene Grace: Secondary effects from the users attacks happen twice as much.

Hustle: User's Attack is increased by 1.5x as Accuracy is reduced by 20%

Para-Flinch

Togekiss @ Leftovers / Lum Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 252 HP / 4 Def. / 252 Sp.Def
Nature: Calm (+ Sp.Def, - Atk.)
- Thunder Wave / Body Slam
- Roost / Softboiled / Wish
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere / Tri-Attack / Nasty Plot / Substitute

The main goal is to get Paralysis on your opponent and you can do that either through Thunder Wave or Body Slam. Thunder Wave gets the Paralyze 100% of the time on anything not Ground Type, while Body Slam gets damage in with a 60% chance of Paralysis and hits anything not Ghost Type. Recover health for yourself or a teammate with any of the 3 moves shown above. (Roost, Softboiled, Wish)

Then use Air Slash to get a 60% chance of a Flinch while they also try to fight a 30% chance of being immobilized by Paralysis. The last moveslot can be dedicated to Aura Sphere for coverage against everything that isn't Zapdos, Tri-Attack for more STAB and Status infliction, Nasty Plot to boost Special Attack, or Substitute to avoid hits.

Para-Flinch-Fusion

Togekiss @ Leftovers / Lum Berry / Meternome
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 252 HP / 6 Def. / 252 Sp.Def.
Nature: Calm (+ Sp.Def, - Atk.)
- Thunder Wave / Body Slam
- Air Slash
- Water Pulse / *Signal Beam* / Sweet Kiss
- Roost / Softboiled / Wish

This is the pervious set on Steriods. Togekiss will have you all sorts of f***ed up once it gets you Paralysed, Confused, and Flinching virtually every damn turn. You will almost always have to switch out of the obvious disadvantage you will be put in only to have it happen to a different pokemon.

Thunder Wave or Body Slam to induce Paralysis, Water Pulse, Signal Beam, or Sweet Kiss to confuse, and Air Slash to Flinch. Recover when needed with Roost / Softboiled / or Wish.

Not So Innocent Sweeper

Togekiss @ Leftovers / Lum Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 166 HP / 152 Sp.Atk / 192 Spd.
Nature: Modest (+ Sp.Atk, - Atk.)
- Nasty Plot
- Roost / Softboiled / Wish
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere / Flamethrower / Fire Blast

A slight modification from the Smogon Nasty Plot Sweeper Set. It still has a decent ability to take hits, outspeed Jolly Tyranitar, set up Nasty Plot, and threaten to sweep your opponents entire team.

Nasty Plot enables you with the aid of Serene Grace to tear through many opposing pokemon. (Even Blissey will learn to fear this set.) As Blissey will fall easily after 2 Nasty Plots by using Air Slash than Aura Sphere. Pick any of the 3 move Togekiss can use to heal itself or teammates. (Roost, Softboiled, Wish)

As for the last moveslot pick between your second attacking move. Aura Sphere for Blissey or Tyranitar killing and Steel coverage, Flamethrower or Fire Blast or Super Effective against Psychic / Steels like Jirachi, Bronzong, and Metagross.

Note: Tri-Attack and Nasty Plot is Illegal together as Tri-Attack is an attack you get from purifing Togepi in Pokemon XD, while Nasty Plot is a 4th Gen Egg Move.

Fast Flinch

Togekiss @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Sp.Atk. / 252 Spd.
Nature: Modest (+ Sp.Atk, - Atk.) / Timid (+ Spd, - Atk.)
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
- Flamethrower / Fire Blast / *Trick*
- Tri-Attack / Hidden Power [Ice] / Shadow Ball / *Trick*

If you aren't expecting Togekiss to be at 388 (Modest Scarf.) or 426 (Timid Scarf.) Then you could be in deep trouble. But it is still a rather simple set considering the many amazing options Togekiss has to support it's team.

Air Slash is the primary attack as it will enable you to get a Flinch on virtually everything with the blinding speed Choice Scarf brings. Aura Sphere will help fend off Rocks, Steels, Darks. Flamethrower and Fire Blast for additional Steel coverage. Tri-Attack for the 20% chance of Paralysis, Freeze, or Burn, Hidden Power Ice to snag surprise KO's against the mighty Dragons, Shadow Ball to hit Psychics and Ghosts harder.

Trick is also accessable through the Platinum move tutor take your pick of replacing one of the last two attacks if you wanna have a suprise factor on your Scarf-Kiss.

Stunna Shades Kiss

Togekiss @ Choice Specs
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 64 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 192 Spd.
Nature: Modest (+ Sp.Atk, - Atk.)
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
- Flamethrower / Fire Blast / *Trick*
- Tri-Attack / Shadow Ball / *Trick*

Alright pretty much the same deal as the pervious set it hits harder but it isnt as fast. Air Slash still is probably your primary attack while the latter 3 attacks provides amazing coverage and possibilities to induce Status (With Tri-Attack, Flamethrower, or Fire Blast) or lower your opponents Special Defense with Shadow Ball.

Tricking some specs on a physical attacker wont be all to hot for the attacker but all sorts of nice for you. (Assuming you score a sweet item off Trick.)

Hustle-N-Flow

Togekiss @ Choice Band / Life Orb
Ability: Hustle
EV's: 64 HP / 252 Atk. / 192 Spd.
Nature: Adamant (+ Atk, - Sp.Atk.) / Naughty (+ Atk, - Sp.Def.)
- ExtremeSpeed
- Aerial Ace
- Brick Break / Drain Punch / Focus Punch
- Flamethrower / Grass Knot

Somewhat of a gimmick set but can really work. (If used at the right time.) Take your pick between Choice Band or Life Orb as Hustle alone won't be enough to make Togekiss a fearful physical attacker.

Extremespeed is going to be your primary attack as it gets priority, STAB, and has 80 base power. Aerial Ace is the second option as Hustle's negative accuracy drop has no effect on this attack and it gets STAB.

For the next moveslot take you pick between Brick Break and Drain Punch. Blissey will probably be a very common switch-in to Togekiss and Blissey will be in for one helluva surprise when you deal massive damage with Brick Break, Drain Punch or Focus Punch. Brick Break offers more much needed power as Drain Punch offers much needed recovery and hits considerably hard as well, Focus Punch if you predict the Tyranitar or Blissey switch-in.

For the last moveslot Flamethrower or Grass Knot is excellent as it gives Togekiss sort of a "mix-attacker" edge to it. The choice between these two attacks is what kind of physical wall do you want to hit. Flamethrower if you want more of an edge against Steels, Grass Knot if Rocks and Grounds are bothersome to you.

Note: Fire Blast isn't mentioned as Hustle will make it very inaccurate.

Passing the Nasty

Togekiss @ Leftovers / Lum Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 252 HP / 64 Def. / 192 Spd.
Nature: Calm (+ Sp.Def, - Atk.)
- Nasty Plot
- Baton Pass
- Air Slash / Encore
- Roost / Softboiled / Wish

One of the few Nasty Plot Passers in the game but Togekiss is probably the best. It takes hits really well and can either dish them back, heal itself or a friend, or pass all the Stat boosts it managed to get to a fellow Special Sweeper. Encore to shut down pokes that want to set-up.

Nasty Plot to boost the Special Attack, Baton Pass to send it to a teammate, Air Slash to attack back and not be shut down by Taunt, and self-recover or heal a teammate with Roost, Softboiled, or Wish.

Ancient-Wind Kiss

Togekiss @ Leftovers / Lum Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 252 HP / 64 Sp.Def / 192 Spd.
Nature: Calm (+ Sp.Def, - Atk.)
- Ancientpower / Silver Wind / *Ominous Wind*
- Air Slash / Encore
- Roost / Softboiled / Wish
- Baton Pass / Aura Sphere

Yet another gimmick set brought to you from yours truly. This set is for all of those that are a lot luckier than I am. The strategy here is to hope and pray to Arceus that you get a Ancientpower or Silver Wind effect of raising all of your Stats one level.

Afterwards either attacking with Air Slash, shut down pokes that want to set up on you with Encore, or passing it to a fellow teammate with Baton Pass. When the HP gets low then just feel free to self-recover or heal a friend with Roost, Softboiled, or Wish.

Psycho-Shift

Togekiss @ Flame Orb / Toxic Orb
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Sp.Def
Nature: Calm (+ Sp.Def, - Atk.)
- Psycho Shift
- Rest / Roost / Softboiled / Wish
- Sleep Talk / Aura Sphere / Protect
- Air Slash

I have been wanting to make this set for ages and now I finally done it. There are two ways to do this set. The first possibility to to copy the Psycho Shift Cresselia and use a Rest-Talk method. The second way is to find recovery in Roost / Softboiled / or Wish as you whither your opponents HP down. Protect can be used to scout attacks and activate Flame / Toxic Orb, while Aura Sphere provides additional coverage used with Air Slash.

Flame Orb is probably the superior choice out of the two items as it will cripple Physical Sweepers making Togekiss that much harder to KO as it is better suited to take Special Attacks.

Note: Tri-Attack wasn't mentioned in this set as it is illegal with Psycho Shift. For the same reasons as Tri-Attack and Nasty Plot are illegal together.

Reflect-Screen Kiss

Togekiss @ Light Clay / Leftovers / Lum Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EV's: 252 HP / 4 Def. / 252 Sp.Def.
Nature: Calm (+ Sp.Def, - Atk.)
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Roost / Softboiled / Wish
- Air Slash / Aura Sphere

This Togekiss uses it's high Defenses and excellent HP to make it easier for teammates to take hits. Light Clay will double the time Reflect and Light Screen stay in play. Recover long lost HP with Roost / Softboiled / or Wish. Then Air Slash or Aura Sphere to fight back against Pokemon with Taunt.

Other Options

Psychic: Could be used to lower Sp.Def on Blissey as it is immune to Shadow Ball.

Yawn: To induce Sleep. (As if Togekiss didn't induce enough Status's as it stands.)

Toxic: To get a sure fire way to induce Poison, and with Togekiss's Defenses and HP it is very much possible to do so.

Hidden Power [Ground]: As Electric Pokemon like Electivire, Jolteon, and Magnezone will be common switch-ins to Togekiss.

Return / Double-Edge / Last Resort: Usable in the Hustle set but ExtremeSpeed is a far more superior choice.

Charm: To lower the foe's Attack 2 levels making Togekiss very difficult to take down.

Rock Smash: Usable in virtually any set as an alternative Fighting attack to the Hustle set or a 100% Defense drop in Serene Grace sets.

Follow Me: Usable in double battles to allow the other teammate in play to set-up.

*Heat Wave*: A move it picks up in Platinum but if you got Flamethrower or Fire Blast to pick from they are more applicable.

*Icy Wind*: Useable wherever you need an Ice attack or just want a Speed drop instead of the slightly higher power of Hidden Power [Ice]

*Zen Headbutt*: Another move useable in the Hustle-Kiss set but has shifty accuracy. (Especially with Hustle.)

Counters

Blissey and Tyranitar will be more than happy to switch into an Air Slash but both need to be weary of Nasty Plot boosted Aura Spheres.

Electric Types also make great switch-ins to Togekiss. Electivire and Jolteon can absorb Thunder Waves to gain more Speed or HP and hit Togekiss back with STAB Thunderpunches or Thunderbolts. Zapdos resists both Air Slash and Aura Sphere which is Togekiss's main line of offense but Zapdos must be weary of Paralysis.

Stealth Rock can also prove to be very bothersome to the Choice Sets as they lack recovery.

Opinion

Togekiss has quite a few options to play around with as I probably could have made a few more sets. But I think 9 is enough to get you guys started. Many people think Togekiss is a "one-trick pony" but if people had the confidence to use some of the other sets I provided then the current metagame would re-think that statement.
