Type Weaknesses

x4 Ground[/*:m:2yrl176j]
x4 Fighting[/*:m:2yrl176j]
x2 Water[/*:m:2yrl176j]

Aggron is currently listed in the UU Tier.
______________________________________________

Aggron's two most impressive stats are it's Attack and Defense so you'll want to make the most of them. Send him in against anything that isn't packing any of the above weaknesses and he'll do a decent job soaking up damage. Even with a +Def nature Aggron will be lucky to survive a Close Combat from any Fighting Pokemon or Earthquake from Ground Pokemon.

Calculations (Worst Case Scenarios)

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/1/10/Spr_4d_068.png
Machamp [Max Atk + Atk Nature] vs Aggron [Max Def + Def Nature, Max HP of 344]

DynamicPunch/Cross Chop (100 BP) x 1.5 (STAB) x 4 (Double Weakness) = 336-400[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Close Combat (120 BP) x 1.5 (STAB) x 4 (Double Weakness) = 408-480[/*:m:2yrl176j]

That's w/o any Guts boost, Life Orb boost, or CB boost.

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/e/ec/Spr_4d_051.png
Dugtrio [Max Atk + Atk Nature] vs Aggron [Max Def + Def Nature, Max HP of 344]

Earthquake (100 BP) x 1.5 (STAB) x 4 (Double Weakness) = 244-292[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Earthquake @ Life Orb (100 BP) x 1.5 (STAB) x 1.3 (Life Orb) x 4 (Double Weakness) = 316-376[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Earthquake @ Choice Band (100 BP) x 1.5 (STAB) x 1.5 (Choice Band) x 4 (Double Weakness) = 372-436[/*:m:2yrl176j]

Keep in mind these are just some of the more common OU threats to Aggron. There is still other Earthquake and Close Combat users in the UU Tier such as Armaldo and any Hitmon's to consider.

Calculations (Aggron on the Offensive)

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/a/ae/Spr_4d_242.png
Aggron [Max Atk + Atk Nature] vs Blissey [Max Def + Def Nature]

Stone Edge (100 BP) x 1.5 (STAB) = 289-342 (If crit then 580-684)[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Stone Edge @ Choice Band (100 BP) x 1.5 (STAB) x 1.5 (Choice Band)= 433-511 (If crit then 868-1023)[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Iron Head (80 BP) x 1.5 (STAB) = 231-273[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Iron Head @ Choice Band(80 BP) x 1.5 (STAB) x 1.5 (Choice Band) = 348-409[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Double Edge (120 BP) = 232-273[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Double Edge @ Choice Band(120 BP) x 1.5 (Choice Band) = 347-409[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Focus Punch (150 BP) x 2 (Weakness) = 578-682[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Focus Punch @ Choice Band(150 BP) x 2 (Weakness) x 1.5 (Choice Band)= 866-1020[/*:m:2yrl176j]

There is a small chance that Aggron may outspeed Blissey, but not much. Blissey's Base Speed is just barely higher than Aggron's, but Blissey rarely carries Speed EV's as it's meant to stall.

Most Pokemon in the UU Tier are going to be 2HKO'd by Aggron if they're not careful, especially if Aggron gets a good prediction with Choice Band as it's item.

Movesets
*Note: The movesets are taken straight from Smogon. I'm doing this to save time and get this analysis up. However I am going to write my own opinions of each of the movesets.*

SubPuncher Aggron
Aggron @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy / Rock Head
252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 Spe
Adamant (+ Atk, - SpAtk)

Substitute[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Focus Punch[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Stone Edge / Rock Slide[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Avalanche / Thunder Wave[/*:m:2yrl176j]

The goal of this set is to come in on something that will barely hurt Aggron and open up with Substitute. A good example of this is if you predict an incoming Toxic or are facing something like the Choice Banded version of Dunsparce.

If you're not worried about going last then you should opt for Stone Edge and Avalanche for your last two moveslots. Stone Edge may have less PP and accuracy than Rock Slide, but you won't be getting any flinch hax. Avalanche there to get the power up from going 2nd and hopefully taking damage.

If I were to use this set however I'd go for Rock Slide and Thunder Wave. Ideally you'd have the Substitute up and would get a TWave on your opponent's switch in. From there try to ParaFlinch your opponent into submission. The one big problem with this though are Volt Absorb Pokemon. Jolteon and Electivire come to mind immediately and both can easily break your Substitute on the following turn.

Support Aggron
Aggron @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy / Rock Head
252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 Spe
Adamant (+ Atk, - SpAtk)

Stone Edge / Iron Head[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Earthquake[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Stealth Rock[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Toxic / Roar[/*:m:2yrl176j]

Not much to be said here. Try to switch in on something decent again, get in a SR, Toxic or Roar stall. Stone Edge and Iron Head are listed for a STAB move and Earthquake is there for coverage.

Choice Band Aggron
Aggron @ Choice Band
Trait: Rock Head
6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant (+ Atk, - SpAtk)

Stone Edge[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Focus Punch[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Ice Punch[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Earthquake / Double Edge[/*:m:2yrl176j]

As with any Choice set, you want good coverage to help with predictions. The more moves you have to play with, the better prepared you are for whatever your opponent will switch in. Stone Edge for STAB, Focus Punch for the expected switch, Ice Punch for Dragons and other Pokemon that resist Rock & Fighting moves (Nidoking/queen, Claydol).

As a point of preference I'd go with Double Edge over Earthquake. If you switch into a Poison type Pokemon, it's going to switch 9 out of 10 times expecting Earthquake, and if you're smart and expecting the switch you'll be Focus Punching half the time anyways. That one time would be if Toxicroak was in. In which case you should slap yourself in the face for switching in Aggron for Toxicroak to pummel.

Double Edge has greater power than Earthquake and will allow you to hit Quagsire, a common UU Water Absorb user, for excellent damage.

Metal Burst Aggron
Aggron @ Leftovers / Focus Sash
Trait: Sturdy / Rock Head
252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 Spe
Relaxed (+ Def, - Spe)

Metal Burst[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Stone Edge / Iron Head[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Focus Punch[/*:m:2yrl176j]
Protect[/*:m:2yrl176j]

I've never seen this work out well without Focus Sash. However if you're trying to Metal Burst a Blissey with 252 HP EVS then you're not going to OHKO it. The most you could do to it would be 686 damage.

Protect is there to scout out your opponenent's moves. Stone Edge & Iron Head are for STAB. I'd go with Stone Edge since you will probably be going last. Focus Punch is there for opponent's who think they can set up on this Aggron.

You have to have very good prediction skills to use this version of Aggron. Let me reiterate that...

You have to have very good prediction skills to use this version of Aggron!

This will guarantee at least one KO if you can get him to work right. That's about it though. That's his only real utility. Pray that your opponent gets over confident with a sweeper and shut him down with Metal Burst.

Damn man, it looks like a report or something! I like that ^_^

The originality of the sets is a bit of a bummer but the calcs and info at the beggining are an excellent idea. I thought you'd be using UU examples though. Bliss, champ and duggy aren't really threats to aggron because he's used in the UU environment. things like Sandslash and Hitmonchan would have been a bit more appropriate (although admittedly, I don't know if they're the best candidates off the top of my head).
A curse-in-a-sandstorm set could be fun getting some pwnage with boosted Avalanches and Paybacks... I admit it will take a few curses for it to take a CC or EQ at all well bhut you know... something like:

Aggron@Leftie/ground/fighting berry (cbf remembering)
Sturdy
Careful (+SpD, -SpA)
EV's: 252 hp / 4 Att / 252 SpD

-Curse
-Stone Edge
-Avalanche
-Payback

The SpD ev's get it to 240 which, in sand, gets up to 480, which is quite respectable. Then you can take advantage of 2 slow-speed moves and big STAB Stone-Edges. I like it myself but it's pretty gimmicky. It could be a cool pokemon Late-game though once you have your opponent sussed out.

All in all an excellent analysis man. We need more like you in our ranks ^_^

Yeah, sorry about the let down with the movesets. I've just been busy and it's late/early AM here.

However that gives me some insight on what to do for next time. I'd like to interview folks from various forums and see what kind of >>Insert Pokemon<< movesets they'd come up with.

I'm fine with just being a plain old forum troll. I'll still do analysises, it just takes a while what with school and my job at the moment. I'm gonna make some additions to this analysis, particularly to the moveset section and UU calculations (UU Threats to Aggron and Aggron to the rest of UU)
