Summary:

Most Used Electrode Set:
It would have to be the Rain Dance set hands down since its one of the best pokes to set up rain and then go boom.

Electrode is Used On:
Rain Dance teams and sometimes just regular teams.

In Depth:

Rain Dance
@ Damp Rock/ Focus Sash
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 Atk/228 Spd/28 SAtk
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Rain Dance
- Thunder
- Explosion
- Taunt

Clearly one of the fastest and best Rain Dance leads there ever was in the Under Used or even the Over Used environment. The Speed EVs guarantee to let you outrun almost every Pokemon in UU except for maybe a few fast Scarf leads.

Obviously, the purpose of the set is to get the Rain up so your strong, Water-abusing sweepers can come in and do what they do best. Thunder is better than Thunderbolt in this scenario since Thunder has a 100% accuracy in Rain, more power, and a greater chance of getting the parahax. Explosion is when Electrode has done all it can and wants to get in that last bit of damage to help the Pokemon coming in next to sweep.

The EVs suggested will give you more power. Taunt is when your opponent might try to status you, set up Stealth Rock, or do other nasty things like set up Dual Screens etc.

Lead
@ Focus Sash
Ability: Static
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
-Thunderbolt
-Screech/ Taunt
-Hidden Power Ground
-Explosion

Having the great Speed it has, there is no doubt why it’s a great lead as well. The whole point of this moveset is to confuse your opponent so that they can’t do anything except keep switching trying to find something to counter it while they take damage and get status or defense lowered.

Bon Voyage

@ Life Orb
Ability: Soundproof
Evs: 120 Atk / 252 SpA / 136 Spe
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
-Explosion
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Grass/ Screech
-Toxic/Light Screen/Taunt

Sadly suicidal leads don’t get paid that well but they get the job done. The point of this set is weakening things down and then just go boom. Hidden Power grass and Thunderbolt is mostly for scouting out and predicting what the opponent has on their team, it also has great type coverage for those bulky water/ground pokes that try to wall you. Though like a suicidal terrorist you need to plan the perfect timing to explode or you’ll kill nothing but yourself inflicting no pain to your opponent. Scout out before to see if your opponent has any ghosts. If all goes well you can inflict much damage on people *cough* I mean pokes. The ev’s are only suggestions and if you want more speed or power go for it.

Other Options

Its sad looking at Electrode’s small moveset, it really provides nothing else except from Magnet Rise to protect you from ground moves. But Electrode doesn’t last that long anyways. Mirror Coat is just for the rare occurrence by getting hit from a special move, though Electrode doesn’t make the greatest use out of it.

Opinion

Its like Usain Bolt, it goes fast and that's it. It can help you get rain up, confuse your opponent, and explode but it has almost no other use.

Counters

Any Ground pokes that have a somewhat good Special Defense stat will wall Electrode. Steelix is a perfect example, but Gastrodon and Quagsire can also uber wall if it doesn’t carry Hidden Power Grass. Most likely if you are neutral to Thunderbolt, have a somewhat good Special Defense, and don’t mind taking explosions your good enough to counter Electrode. But beware if Electrode sets up Rain Dance, since you have to then have to counter the water abusing pokes coming in.

A very amazing Analysis I must say. Minor flaws that were spotted have been fixed, 5 Stars LOL.

Edit: I have a minor question...Or suggestion.

Is it acceptable to put the "Suicidal Terrorist" set? Maybe changing the title would be better, some people might take it offensively.

Meh, I like the title though, just asking.
