Again, this has been done by Zero Mugen and I only reworked it a little. Credits go to ZM for an awesome job <3.

Minun:

Summary:

Most Used Minun Set:

Most Minun you come up against will be running the Baton Pass set, simply because it makes an excellent Baton Passer in the tier it is used in. Its Speed gives you the advantage over a variety of Pokémon from its tier. The aforementioned set also gives the option of boosting Special Attack, or Speed; or even both. Nasty Plot allows for a hefty Special Attack boost, while Agility gives the same boost in Speed.

Usual Counters:

Minun is terribly fragile Defensively. That said, any decent Physical attacker will counter Minun. Unlike most UUs, Minun can actually hold its own against walls; due to the simple fact that it's used for support and Baton Passing. However, phazers also bring a problem to Minun. Pokémon packing priority attacks destroy the Focus Sash that Minun will usually pack.

Types Of Teams Minun Is Used On:

You will usually find it on Baton Pass teams in lower tiers.

In Depth:

Ability: Minus
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)

- Baton Pass
- Nasty Plot / Agility
- Sing / Hidden Power Ice / Grass Knot
- Thunderbolt

With its decent Speed, Minun makes a pretty good Baton Passer. Focus Sash gives you a guaranteed Nasty Plot or Agility. Beware of Pokémon with priority moves, though. Sing, despite its low accuracy, is another chance to get a Nasty Plot or Agility up. Thunderbolt gives Minun some offense. Hidden Power Ice and Grass Knot both give you good coverage, but one is better for Dragon-types; while the other is better for Ground / Water-types. A Timid Nature grants you the Speed needed to get a successful Baton Pass off. In UU, 317 is an extremely good Speed stat.

Ability: Minus
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Nature: Hasty (+Spe, -Def)

- Counter
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice
- Grass Knot / Quick Attack

Since Minun attracts Physical attackers, Counter is the ideal move to take at least one Pokémon out. After a tough Physical attacker induces damage on you, you Counter it and kill it. Quick Attack is recommended to assure the KO on said Pokémon.

Ability: Minus
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)

- Encore
- Thunder Wave
- Substitute / Nasty Plot / Agility
- Baton Pass

Nowadays, Stealth Rock leads are becoming extremely common, so this set works like a charm. Encore the expected Stealth Rock. After that, your opponent’s Pokémon will be forced to switch out; or stay in and keep using Stealth Rock. Thunder Wave is for any Pokémon that may be switched in to KO Minun, which will almost always be a fast sweeper. The third slot simply depends on what you want to pass. Substitute is recommended, but the other two stat boosting moves work just as fine.

Ability: Minus
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)

- Encore
- Captivate
- Charm
- Thunder Wave / Thunderbolt

Here is a variation of the previous set. Instead of passing a boost or Substitute, you can instead weaken your opponent’s Pokémon. Encore a Stealth Rock, and you’ll gain a sudden advantage. Charm is for the likely Physical attacker that is switched in, and Captivate is for any Special attacker. However, be careful of using Captivate on a Pokémon with the same gender as yours. Thunder Wave is recommended over Thunderbolt, since it gives a guaranteed chance of getting Paralysis on a sweeper.

Ability: Minus
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)

- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power Ice
- Signal Beam

With the Speed Minun packs, it's actually viable to run a Choice set. This set is clearly recommended for lower tiers, as that is where it works best. Thunderbolt is for STAB. Grass Knot hits the bulky Water Pokémon you may encounter. Hidden Power Ice is for Ground-types attempting to wall you. Signal Beam grants a big hit on Psychic and Dark-types.

Ability: Minus
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)

- Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute
- Grass Knot / Sing

Setting up with this set is a tad difficult, but like any set up, it works like a charm when done. The idea is to Sleep a wall, Substitute up, and use Nasty Plot. A STAB Nasty Plot boosted Thunderbolt does a wallop to anything that doesn't resist. Grass Knot can replace Sing if you're looking for a second attack, or simply something to handle Ground-types. Focus Sash is going to allow for one Nasty Plot if you don't carry Sing. Leftovers gives you some HP, so that setting up a Substitute doesn't hurt.

Ability: Minus
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 6 Def
Nature: Sassy (+SpD, -Spe)

- Thunder Wave
- Wish
- Sing
- Thunderbolt

From first glance, most laugh at Minun in the support role. Surprisingly, it pulls it off very well. Thunder Wave for the Physical attackers that come in to counter. Wish helps for team healing. Sing works like Thunder Wave in the field of destabilizing a Pokémon. However, Sing holds much less accuracy than Thunder Wave. Thunderbolt provides a STAB attack for Minun.

Ability: Minus
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)

- Substitute
- Thunder Wave
- Sweet Kiss
- Baton Pass

Another Baton Pass variant that helps get the job done. Substitute on incoming switches. Thunder Wave the switch behind the Substitute, and from there hope for parahax as you continue to Substitute. Sweet Kiss comes into play as soon as the parahax does. After Parafusion, here's a good opportunity to Baton Pass a Substitute.

Ability: Minus
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 6 HP
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)

- Attract
- Thunder Wave
- Nasty Plot / Agility
- Thunderbolt / Baton Pass

This set carries the same concept as the above set. The idea is to Attract the opposing Pokémon. If the infatuation sets in, you can choose to Thunder Wave your opponent, or begin to boost stats for a Baton Pass. Focus Sash, like all the other sets, just gives you an extra chance to pull this off. Use Thunderbolt if you’re skeptical about having a Pokémon with no offensive attacks

Other Options:

Charge Beam with Nasty Plot is something available to play around with. Fake Tears is something that can be incorporated as well. Light Screen also gives a little more option to your moveset. Even Toxic can fit in if you wish to stall your opponents. Rain Dance isn't something to be overlooked if you want to take a chance with a Rain Dance team, featuring Minun.

Opinion:

Here's an UU Pokémon I don't mind messing around with. Minun holds many abilities to be taken advantage of. However, its frailty and need for Focus Sash are big set backs. As far as Baton Passing goes, Minun really takes the cake. Even its support ability is something to be admired.

great analysis once again ZM!! one small detail...where you wrote the most used minun set, you keep talking about its tier, but never mention what tier it actually is in

It is mentioned later on that Minun is used in the UU tier. I didn't feel the need to fix that, TBH.
