Summary:

Most Used Set:

The Most Usable set Mightyena has to offer relies on it's ability(Quick Feet). With the aid of the held item:Toxic Orb ,Mightyena's Speed Increases drastically to a desirable 358 Speed stat. With this Major Speed boost Mightyena can freely use an Adamant nature simply because 358 speed in the NU enviroment is something many don't outspeeed so mighteyna can attempt a sweep.Howl is Typically used with this set to increase Mighteyna's mediocre attack stat. After that your left with 3 moves,Crunch is an obvious choice do to STAB and Facade benifits greatly from the poison of Toxic orb.The Last Move is mainly filler and will see very little use. Some Options are Sucker punch in case you think you don't outspeed something after the Speed boost,Iron Tail for Rock Types,Or any of the fangs(Ice Fang,Fire Fang, thuder Fang)but their low base power won't help much. This Set is the best mighteyna has to offer, after a howl Boost this can do massive damage to any pokemon coming in,2ohkoing and ohkoing many things in the NU enviroment,The thing that sets this back is Mighteyna's frailness which will give Mighteyna a hard time to set up.

Usual Counters:

In OU Mighteyna can be handled easely,Bronzong and Bulky waters don't take much from Mighteyna's moves and can either stall it or attack it back.Mighteyna can be countered in UU with no problem as long as you don't let it set-up of course,Steelix and Weezing for example don't mind coming in on a +1 attack Mightyena and can easely attack back,Clefaable can just recover off the damage and attack back with moves such as Seismic Toss.Basically don't let Mighteyna set-up and you should be fine,Mighteyna does not like taking constant Toxic damage much less if things like SR are set up.

Types of Teams Pokemon Is Used In:

Mighteyna can be used in Your Typical NU team,it works Good Offensively but not good enough to be seen at all in other tiers.

In-Depth

http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r48/squirtleboy12/262.pngQuick Feet@ Toxic Orb
Ability:Quick Feet
EVs:252 Attack/252 Speed/4 HP
Nature:Adamant

-Howl
-Crunch
-Facade
-Iron Tail/Sucker Punch

The idea of this is pretty simple,Attempt to set up a Sweep By Howling,Toxic Orb activates quick Feet which gives you a wonderful speed stat of 358 if using an Adamant Nature.Crunch is for STAB,and Facade Benefits From Poison.Iron Tail Is listed because it gives coverage versus Rock Types.Sucker Punch can be used in case you know you won't outspeed something and try to get a Hit.Adamant is Recommended because of Mighteyna's Mediocre attack,Even after a howl the damage can be disappointing with a jolly nature.

http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r48/squirtleboy12/262.pngChoice Bander@ Choice Band
Ability:Quick Feet/Intimidate
EVs:252 speed/252 attack/4 hp
Nature:Adamant/Jolly

-Crunch
-Sucker Punch
-Iron Tail
-Return

The idea of this is pretty simple Hit Hard from the start without having to set-up.This looses the speed of the first set but it does not need to set-up or worry about poison damage.Crunch is for Stab.Sucker Punch is there in case your face with a faster opponent who other wise can ohko Mighteyna easely.Iron Tail is for rock type coverage who otherwise wall this set.Return is there basically as a 102 base power filler. This time the ability can vary a bit,Quick Feet means Mighteyna can switch into things like Toxic and gain a boost however since this is not guaranteed Intimidate can be used to help Mighteyna switch in "easier''.However with Mighteyna's frail defenses even after intimidate switching in will be a pain so it's a matter of choice.

Other Options:

Mighteyna does not have the best movepool,it is very limited. Some other Physical moves Mighteyna has include Thunder Fang,Ice Fang, and Fire Fang;however; they lack base power and their overall damage is generally pitiful even with a SE hit.Choice Scarf can be attempted but Mighteyna's very mediocre attack means that it wont be revenge killing many things less much hitting Hard.

Opinion:

Mighteyna is a pokemon with a good ability and can boost it's attack with Howl;however; it is frail, has mediocre attacking stats, and overall is outclassed completly by things with both of it's abilities. It's mediocre Movepool does not help it either.Mighteyna has had the same destiny as many Pokemon,Stuck in the NU metagame almost never seen by anybody in competitive battling. However in this metagame Mighteyna has a nice role and can actually perform decently.Mighteyna can be a nice addition to any NU team.

Just quick nitpick don't use Flame Orb with quick feet since it does activate quick feat but it lowers your attack.

The most usable set Mightyena has to offer relies on its ability Quick Feet. With the aid of the held item Toxic Orb, Mightyena's Speed Iincreases drastically to a desirable 358 Speed stat. With this major speed boost, Mightyena can freely use an Adamant nature simply because 358 speed in the NU enviroment is something many don't outspeeed so mighteyna can attempt a sweep. Howl is typically used with this set to increase Mightyena's mediocre attack stat. After that, you're left with 3 moves. Crunch is an obvious choice due to STAB and Facade benifits greatly from the poison of Toxic Orb. The Last Move is mainly filler and will see very little use. Some options are Sucker Punch in case you think you won't outspeed something after the Speed boost, Iron Tail for Rock types, or any of the fangs (Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Thuder Fang), but their low base power won't help much. This set is the best mMighteyna has to offer, because after a Howl boost this can do massive damage to any Pokemon coming in, 2HKOing and OHKOing many things in the NU environment. The thing that sets this back is Mightyena's frailness which will give it a hard time to set up.

Usual Counters:

In OU Mightyena can be handled easily. Bronzong and bulky Waters don't take much from Mightyena's moves and can either stall it or attack it back. Mightyena can be countered in UU with no problem as long as you don't let it set up of course. Types of Teams Pokemon Is Used In:

Mightyena can be used in your typical NU team. It works well Ooffensively, but not well enough to be seen at all in other tiers.

The idea of this is pretty simple. Hit hard from the start without having to set up. This loses the speed of the first set, but it does not need to set up or worry about Toxic damage. Crunch is for STAB. Sucker Punch is there in case your aced with a faster opponent who otherwise can OHKO Mightyena easily. Iron Tail is for Rock type coverage who otherwise wall this set. Return is there basically as a 102 base power filler. This time the ability can vary a bit. Quick Feet means Mightyena can switch into things like Toxic and gain a boost. However, since this is not guarunteed, Intimidate can be used to help Mightyena switch in "easier''. However, with Mightyena's frail defenses, switching in will be a pain even after an Intimidate, so it's a matter of choice.

Other Options:

Mightyena does not have the best movepool. It is very limited. Some other Physical moves Mightyena has include Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, and Fire Fang; however, they lack high base power, and their overall damage is generally pitiful even with a Super Effective hit.
