Well, I guess I better start blogging about the progression of the offlinedex named PokéApp.
This project is actually an old software I made, tracing back to 2009, but it was dropped twice.
Recently I decided to pick it up again, I rewrote the entire code making it faster and better than ever. And I'm not planning on dropping this project again since so many people seem to like it, this is what keeps me going ^^
Well, now for the goodies. Features! Download link can be found at the bottom of this page
Implemented:
Pokédex
A complete Pokédex with locations, stats, weakness/strengths and whatnot for Gen III and up. (EV yields added in beta 584)
Hidden Power
A Hidden Power calculator that lets you calculate what type and what strength your pokémon's going to get when it's using Hidden Power.
Catchrate
An easy catchrate calculator for the curious ones.
Voltorb Flip Calculator
A voltorb flip calculator that helps you calculate the possibility of voltorbs in the HGSS minigame. Thanks to EPFMy for that module :)
Local GTS server
A local GTS server which lets you send and recieve pokemons from your DS through WiFi for both GenIV and GenV games. Based on Madaruwode's HyperGTS.
ItemDex
A complete ItemDex with images, locations and descriptions.
MoveDex
A complete Movedex with all you need to know about a specific move.
Learnsets
Learnsets for every pokemon! (TM/HM, Level up, egg and Tutor moves)
Evolutions
See the entire evolution tree for any given pokemon and its evolution criteria.
What's up?
The beloved "What's up?" function! Never miss an in-game event in HGSS ever again!
Updates
All updates can be made within the application, no need to browse the internet to get the latest updates!
AbilitiesImplemented in beta 581
AbilityDex and possible abilities for every Pokémon.
IV calculatorImplemented in beta 587
Calculate IV's based on stats, evs and nature.
SkinningImplemented in beta 590
Customize your PokéApp with your own, home made skins!
Leave comments and feedback! I will take all suggestions into consideration. And any opinion of the app, whether it's good or bad, is appreciated, it keeps me motivated ^^ Soon to be implemented:
EV rewards
Maybe a little nifty app to keep track of your acquired EVs during your EV training might be implemented if the amount of interested people is enough.
Damage Calculator
Damage Calculator for competetive battling etc. Made to calculate how much in percentage you will damage the enemy with a given move, your stats and the pokemon you're facing.
Comparison
Have you ever had troubles choosing between two pokemons? Not any more you don't, this soon-to-be implemented function will make comparison between two pokemons easy as pie.
UberSearchImplemented, but not completely
Search everything. Pokemon with x or above any stat, pokemon with x type/types, pokemon who can learn x move, pokemon who can have x ability. Well, you name it ;D
Egg groups
Egg group info for each pokemon, will also be implemented as a search criteria in the UberSearch.
Remember that this app is still under heavy development, and what I mean by that is that every suggestion of improvement is more than welcome.
If you have any ideas or find any bugs, let me know and I'll see what I can do about it :)
Cheers!

v Changelog v
Spoiler!
[05-12-2011] - Various bugfixes and performanceboost during app load.
[04-13-2011] - Added a stat calculator (you can see what all the natures does to your stats here aswell), also added shiny sprites for all pokemons, just click the image to switch between normal/shiny sprites in the pokedex :)
[04-05-2011] - HUUUUUUGE update, well, for me at least. Branched out the GTS app so it now works with GenV games. And guess what? I felt a little enthusiastic so I made it possible for you guys to send your genIV pokemons to GenV, it automagically converts them so the Black/White games accepts them. So now you can get your beloved pokemahns to black/white without the pokeshifter :3
Also temporarily changed all the learnsets to B/W, so there might be slight changes in the learnsets for oldschool players right now, but it's getting back there, promise.
[04-03-2011] - Some moves I missed have been translated, fixed a bug in the evolution tree, all learnsets have been re-implemented to B/W ones. RSEDPPtHGSS learnset differences will be added again at a later date.
[03-16-2011] - Added B/W Locations for every single pokemon (all generations that is). Added a link to my facebook page if I'm not available on the forums or IRC.
[03-15-2011] - Added hidden abilities (Abilities on the pokemons you befriend in the Dream World) to the pokedex. Also fixed an issue where B/W pokemons didn't show in the catchrate calculator. Renamed abilities to match the english release and also fixed a couple of typos in the DB. Happy hunting! Oh, almost forgot, I also added locations in B/W for the first 100 in the national dex. So I only have about 400(?) to go. Haha, as before, the Black/White pokemon locations are already implemented.
[03-07-2011] - Added the correct names for Black/White Pokemons, right on time eh? And I also added a sorting algorithm so that the pokelist is now sorted by ID instead of alphabetically. haha Enjoy.
[11-01-2010] - BW coverage almost completed. Pokemons, moves, abilities and locations for BW pokemons have been implemented. (Also added a stat total to the pokedex)
[10-30-2010] - Added Victini to pokedex, added a lot more functionality to make the app more like a GUI to the xml "database". Contributions are now a lot easier to make.
[08-07-2010] - Upgraded the movedex to better reflect what's happening. Also a lot more detail has been added.
[08-03-2010] - I changed the database from binary serialization to XML serialization, this means that anyone is free to change the database, either for personal use or to help me out.
[07-15-2010] - Added some text that were missing and added a donate button. I'm in a bad situation economically now, sorry guys <3
[06-20-2010] - Added the option for rollbacking to the classic UI (unskinned one)
[06-19-2010] - Added skinning support
[06-19-2010] - Added egg and tutor moves to the app
[06-05-2010] - IV calculator added, UberSearch updated
[06-02-2010] - Added UberSearch
[05-30-2010] - Added EV yields
[05-27-2010] - Added AbilityDex
[05-24-2010] - Initial release

PixAlchemist
Hey Greger! Sorry there is no blog system anymore. I personally am fine with you posting this here. I sometimes use this when I don't want to bother to look up Pokemon. ^^ It's very nice.
Weren't you working on a app for the Android? How is that coming along?

@Pix:
Yes, I'm working on the android project as well as juggling my examination project, so there's a lot of stuff going on. I'm also currently experiencing personal issues so that might slow me down a bit :P
@Godzilla & Paranormalist:
Thanks for your support, this is what keeps me going ^^

Tidus
I always wondered, how many downloads do you get weekly? Back on the old forums I saw that your blog had over 11,000 views. So I'm guessing the rate is pretty convenient.
