    Introduction
    Ever wanted to have a pokemon sweep at +6 in all stats? Well that's possible with Baton Pass teams. Baton Pass teams aren't so common as they used to be, with the arrival of many counters in DPP, mentioned later in the guide. This guide will hopefully help you make a succesful Baton Pass team.

    What is Baton Pass?
    Baton Pass is a 40 PP move, 64 with PP max. Baton Pass allows you to switch out of the battle, without priority. The Baton Passer can pass any stat changes and conditions.
    List of Baton Passable things:
    * Aqua Ring
    * Block (both on you and your opponent)
    * Confusion
    * Curse (when used by a Ghost on the Baton Passer)
    * Embargo
    * Focus Energy/Lansat Berry
    * Gastro Acid
    * Ingrain
    * Leech Seed
    * Lock-On
    * Magnet Rise
    * Mean Look (both on you and your opponent)
    * Mind Reader
    * Perish Song's Count
    * Power Trick
    * Spider Web (both on you and your opponent)
    * Substitute (keeps its HP)
    * Stat boosts / drops
    It also allows the user to escape from the effects ofShadow Tag, Magnet Pull, Arena Trap, and Pursuit’s effect of hitting before the user switches out.

    Those are just some examples of good Baton Pass recievers.

    The Lead
    For Baton Pass teams, the lead is crucial. It should, 1. Start the chain and 2. Prevent Rocks or Spikes set up/Start passing boosts. Leads such as Ninjask can start passing boosts and Subs from the beginning with their Speed Boost ability. Pokemon like Aerodactyl and Smeargle can stop the setting of Stealth Rocks, Toxic Spikes, and Spikes, which can whittle down a Baton Pass team. Then there are pokemon like Gliscor and Zapdos which can pass boosts via a boosting move and can sometimes stop entry hazards from being laid down. Smeargle leads are one of the best leads for Baton Pass teams. They can Spore, pass any kind of boost or set up entry hazards of your own.

    The Chain
    This is the part of the team where everything needs to go smoothly or else the outcome could be disastrous. Every good Baton Pass team should have either a Smeargle or Mr. Mime. They can pass boosts safely without fear of Roar, or phazing moves for Smeargle. Soundproof help against Roar while

    Looking forward to it. Minor quip. Though you mention smeargle along with Aerodactyl, he isn't listed in the OU BPers list.

    Cyndaquil, look at the dates of posts and try not to revive threads that are over a month old (unless it's the most recent thread in a forum). I've infracted you for not heeding my previous warning.

    And Lapras, don't bother commenting. Just tell me.

    Thanks mig!
