Team Pro - Gyarados. an OU RMT

This is a team based around Bulky Gyarados. I've done my absolute best in covering it's counters and finding opportunities to switch it in. I would particularly like help on it because some things in this team are uneasy to me so I would really appreciate some help.

    Azelf @ Colbur Berry
    Jolly
    Levitate
    8 HP/140 Attack/216 Spe/144 SpD
    - Stealth Rock
    - Taunt
    - U-Turn
    - Explosion

Azelf is a great lead as it prevents the other team from playing Stealth Rocks or any other entry hazards as Stealth Rocks really limit how much Gyarados can switch in. It also sends in it's very own Stealth Rocks to limit how much Zapdos switches into Gyarados and to add residual damage for Gyarados to sweep. This Azelf survives Heatran's Fireblast and Leadgross's Meteor Mash. U-Turn is there for scouting and Explosion is there to put a dent on the other team.

    Scizor @ Choice Band
    Adamant
    Technician
    252 Attack/ 252 Defense
    - Bullet Punch
    - U-Turn
    - Superpower
    - Pursuit

This is my revenge killer in case Gyarados or any other Pokemon die on my team. It has a decent check on Tyranitar and Dragonite who can't bother switching in alot because of Stealth Rocks. This is a standard CB Scizor so there's not much else I can explain.
I am looking to replace Scizor because it's role on my team isn't necessary and I'm sure other Pokemon fit the bill here.

    Gyarados @ Leftovers
    Adamant
    Intimidate
    176 HP/108 Attack/224 Spe
    - Dragon Dance
    - Waterfall
    - Bounce
    - Taunt

The crux of my team, Gyarados. This Gyarados has more good switchins then bad ones which makes it a really good pokemon to base a team around of. Taunt is there to block status which can stop this Gyarados's sweep. I've used the bulky version because I want this thing to take some hits if my team isn't there to compensate for.

    Jolteon @ Choice Scarf
    Volt Absorb
    Modest
    252 SpA/252 Speed
    - Thunderbolt
    - Shadow Ball
    - HP Grass
    - Baton Pass

You may be wondering as to why I put a Choice Scarf on a Jolteon. Choice Scarf Jolteon can check alot of Pokemon using Choice scarf and potentially is after then most pokemon even after an Agility. It also checks Dragon Dancers if they ever decided to set up. Although for that reason I may use HP Ice but Swampert can be troublesome to my team as well so let me know what you think. Jolteon takes electric attacks aimed at Gyarados and Gyarados takes the Ground attacks aimed at Jolteon

    Hitmontop @ Leftovers
    Intimidate
    Impish
    252 HP/ 252 Defense
    - Rapid Spin
    - Close Combat
    - Sucker Punch
    - Rest

This is my Physical wall. It comes in on alot of Physical threats to Gyarados like Tyranitar and Dragonite. It is also a great Rapid Spinner which allows it to remove rocks so Gyarados doesn't take damage from it. Sucker Punch is there for a bit of priorty and for Celebi as Celebi is a known Gyarados counter. If there are any changes needed to be made like a different physical wall let me know.

    Blissey @ Leftovers
    Natural Cure
    Bold
    252 HP/ 252 Defense
    - Wish
    - Protect
    - Seismic Toss
    - Ice beam

Standard WishBliss. Takes care of special attackers my team can't such as Zapdos who threats Gyardos and Vaporeon who is also a know Gyarados counter. It also passes health onto my teammates if needed

Thank you for your suggestions and any advice is welcome

You could try using Swords Dance Gliscor to cope with Lucario and Breloom and act as a check to machamp

    Thanks mig!

Did you steal my threat list?

Replace sciz with Dnite or meta.

scarf jolteon is damn near useless. use specs with timid

also on jolteon, scizor, hitmontop, and blissey, you can use another 4 EV's on any stat you want, which is always helpful

scarf tyranitar can be used over scizor, to get rid of rotoms and starmies better than scizor, who are 2 checks against gyarados.

I agree, **** Scarf Jolteon, use Specs or you won't hit anything hard enough to get any KOs.

On the topic of Scizor, you need the steel type on your team to stop dragons from rampaging all over you, but I would consider something like Skarmory or Aggron instead. Skarm would help Gyarados actually sweep by providing spikes support, although it won't KO Rotom and Dragonite like Aggron can (HEAD SMAAASH).

Hitmontop is an absolute joke here, you have no way to get past spin blockers like Rotom-H, which is the only way to make Hitmontop even remotely viable. I would replace it with SD Roost Gliscor, who allows you to not only KO Rotom semi-effectively but still lets you check Tyranitar and threaten Dragonite with Stone Edge.

Usually I recommend Toxic on Blissey, but this team has absolutely no way to check Dragonite once it set up other than getting lucky with Scizor and Hitmontop still being in shape to stop it, so you have to stick with Ice Beam to punish those who try to set up. Also, that stops Rhyperior from setting up on Blissey? I do think you need Heal Bell on Bliss, though, to compensate for the fact that your team is so status weak, especially after removing that rapid spinner, since you have no way to get around TSpikes (not that you did before, but you especially don't now)

Also, why the heck a Colbur Berry on Azelf? So that Payback + BP from Machamp isn't an OHKO? Not worth it, you get wrecked by a ton of other standard leads without a Focus Sash. Just explode and live without rocks.

Main problem I see here is that you say you're trying to help Gyarados sweep, but you have nothing to actually REMOVE Gyarados counters, just prevent them from killing you. Add in some entry hazards, Pokemon to actually kill things that stop Gyarados, and make it possible for your team to survive long enough to get to the sweep, and you have something.
