Gen 5 OU - Simple Counter Guide - 55% Complete
Just going to make a quick simple counter guide like that of Gen 4 that I made a while ago. Hopefully this helps you with finding your team's weakneses and adding a Pokemon to fix your team's weakness. This should also help you understand how well things are countered this gen.
If you find any errors or have a question, you may post on this thread.
Key:
*Pokemon is highlighted Red.
*Item that the Pokemon is based its power are in italics and green.
*Commonly used moves are colored Orange
*Moves inside [brackets] are the moves that the counter Pokemon cannot resist well and should be taken into suspicion when in battle.
*Pokemon + (move), meaning that that Pokemon must have the given move to be a viable counter.
*Pokemons that are highlighted in Blue are competitively and statistically the best counter for that Pokemon. Usually Pokemon that are greatly resistant to damages from common Stealth Rock damage and/or are able to recover their HP with priority recovery moves and still be able to counter the Pokemon are given this position.

Quarreling with Palkias..

I really appreciate the time that you have put into this Eternal.
However, some Pokemon have wrong moves listed next to them. For example, in Gliscor's counters section, Thundurus (and others) have Ice Fang listed next to them, when it should be a different ice move.

Oh no, check the "key." When it's inside a parenthesis, it means that you need that move to sufficiently counter the target. Like Tangrowth for example, I listed HP Ice inside a parenthesis. Whereas, when it's inside a bracket it means that even though this Pokemon is able to counter the target, it still fears the opposing move inside the bracket. Hope that clears things up.

The 4th Six of Glory
Great work Eternal and I think that is gonna be very useful to a lot of people. A few things:
-Blissey does fear the Sub-Split combo from Gengar.
-I've seen some very little typos, like Kojondo or Gastrogon.
-How can Gyro Ball be a threat to Virizion and Thundurus (since Thundurus resists it)?
-Max HP and SpDef Conkeldurr can actually counter Gengar.
-Even with Air Balloon, Excadrill can still kill Heatran if it carries Brick Break.
PS: lol I also misunderstood that.
Just a regular Nintendo fan.
I also love pokemon competitively!

Hey Eternal, would you like help with the guide? I can do a few Pokemon if that is what you wish.

Careful 252/252 Conkeldurr takes 39.13% - 45.89% from Shadow Ball. I guess you can use it to handle Gengar, but not sufficiently counter.
Gyro Ball from Ferrothorn does 34% - 40.33% to Thundurus and 62.04% - 73.15% to Virizion, which is quite a lot to be called a sufficient counter.
Brick Break Excadrill is very uncommon and still fails to come close to OHKO'ing Heatran. Whereas Air Balloon Heatran is listed as a "viable" counter because it can come in on an Earthquake and revenge kill.

Nah, that's alright. I got this covered. I was thinking of making another kind of competitive guide where I would need a help on though. Let me know if you're interested.

A few things I noticed -
-Scizor's SD set should have more emphasis on Excadrill. It really can't do much do the bugger.
-For Scizor's band set you have Magnezone emphasized, but then you have Superpower in brackets. Not sure if this is because of Magnet Pull, but I noticed it anyway.
-I had to do calcs for this one, but, Conkeldurr can't switch into and Drain Punch Adamant LO Excadrill's Earthquake or Swords Dance, and Mach Punch can only do 63.7% - 75.3% (Against 0/0 Excadrill, I'm honestly not sure how much is invested into bulk for Excadrill.) It should probably be noted that Conkeldurr only counters under certain circumstances.
-Superpower should be added as a choice on Dragonite's Band set, as it covers Heatran, while also doing heavy damage to the other listed counters.
-It should be noted that some Conkeldurr run Earthquake, although it is slightly uncommon.
-It should be slashed in that Breloom really doesn't like to switch into Jellicent's Scald or Will-o-Wisp either.
-Should be noted that Infernape IS allowed ThunderPunch with Iron Fist.
-Rotom-W is a very decent Starmie counter.
Well, that's all I can find for now. Hope it's useful, somewhat.

So yeah, f*ck being exclusive.
