Hey !
I have some Problem with Pokemons Created by POKEGEN. I created a team with pokegen which passed the RANDOM MATCHUP HACK TEST and i had a couple of good battles. But Now when i made another few pokemons with pokegen and tried to Enter the RANDOM MATCHUP, it states "THERE IS SOME PROBLEM WITH YOUR POKEMON" i AM ATTACHING A leafeon.PKM file. Please check and help me. THANKS IN ADVANCE
Everything looks fine except for the trashbytes. The nickname and OT name of wild and hatched 5th gen Pokemon must have the last two trashbytes both set to FF. Somehow, PokeGen screwed it up by leaving the last two trashbytes blank. I used Pokesav to correct this Pokemon's trashbytes.
Below, I have attached the fixed .PKM, and a screenshot of the trashbyte screen in Pokesav.
If you would like to support the work I've done on this site, then please consider donating:
on pokegen, they left out auto trash byte insertion so people could not make legit pokemon and try to trade them off to people.
I will be posting a guide to using pokegen to make valid, legal pokemon you can use on Nintendo's random battle match up when I have the time. Right now, I have it at another site, but I have been working overtime, and am just too tired to C/P everything!
To Kyo hack: Is pokesav still saving pokemon in the wrong 236 byte format? That's why all the folks I know DO NOT use it. Pokegen saves the files in 220 byte the current 5G format, and the 136 byte. also, pokegen allows you to manually insert the terminators in the pokemon name, and the OT name as well. and sending the file into pokecheck will automatically give it the right PID it needs, but making DW pokemon that pass is just a bit trickier, as you have to mess with the trash bytes, but that too is simple to do, as I will show in Wrath's guide eventually.....
