anyone think we should start these up? they've proven to be popular after the first couple before and with a different theme each time it could be fun , opinions?

What do you mean by sprite contests specifically?
    Make your own pokemon
    Combine two pokemon (fusion)

And your post doesn't say if its about pokemon, or just any other sprite, like making random objects that you are good at.
    Be more specific please?
I support the idea of sprite contest though :P
But it also depends on what its about.

yeah sorry man was on ps3 so it took a while just to write that, should have explained further. Pokemon sprite contents of course, Making your own pokemon requires good skill and finding enough good spriters to do this would be difficult - in order to keep these contests re-occuring it would need to be a contest that anyone could partake in, the most simple form of spriting i know is pokemon fusions but even doing that time after time can get abit boring especially if one person wins repeatedly, so we could set specific rules in order to keep the change constant, like with a different theme for each one, different prizes, a different host (maybe make the previous winner the host and not allow them to enter until a new host is picked from their contests theme), combined with a set of easy to remember rules like no drop shadows, glow effects or use of any image editing software other than paint. also asking each contest to send their entry through PM to prevent people from knowing who made what, this ensures votes will be on the overall finish of the sprite. This usually ends up becoming very popular as even people who have never sprited before submit an entry and with constantly changing themes even the best spriter is going to come across a theme he/she is not good very good at. hopefully you understand what i mean now lol
