But, I have a barebones desktop wishing I had a gaming desktop.

I own something between a desktop PC and a gaming desktop PC. I have 8 GB of RAM and other nice bonuses, but my processor isn't too amazing, and I have an AMD Radeon rather than an Nvidia. So it's good and it runs most things really well, but it's not top of the line. Plus it's about 2 years old now, so it's definitely not top of the line. xD

I pretty much use my laptop for everything, even though we have desktops in our house (that aren't mine). I do play games on it even though it really isn't a gaming laptop and doesn't always run things the best. xD

I move around a lot and I don't really play PC games. So a normal laptop works for me. As long as it can run Paint Tool SAI. (my life.)

Having a Gaming Desktop would be awesome! I already own a Gaming Laptop. It's decent, it can't run everything crystal perfect (I wish it did and didn't have so many issues.) but it's manageable.
