What do you like about Pokemon FR/LG?

The title says it all...What do you like about Pokemon FR/LG? Explain your feeling when it released, and after it released and your present feelings.

I was fairly excited about the release, because it was a remake of one of my all time favorite games. I did enjoy the remakes, but for some reason, not as much as the original. Idk what it is, the original just seems better to me.

It was ok, but nostalgia tells me the original was better.

Although funny enough, I beat LG before I beat red. /facepalm

I know the originals are good, but they have ironed out a lot of the problems the original had then. I liked having the ability to get a lot more out of the games now that they are in GBA style instead of GB style. Don't get me wrong, the originals are good, but having a more modern version is always good as well =P

FR/LG was alright for me. I rarely played Red and Blue. Comparing both R/B/Y and FR/LG, the remakes made vast improvements. I personally liked the Sevilli islands.

The islands are good, just not a great add on in my opinion. It's not like it adds a lot to the game, other than lets say pokemon from other gens and such like that.

I personally never played Red and Blue for myself. Well, I played Yellow years after it came out when I managed to find a copy, but I came in with the main pokemon games in with R/S. I gotta say that I love FR/LG, I was pumped when it first came out and over the years I've played the hell out of it. I still play it now at least once a year, it never gets old. Defiantly my favorite pokemon game :3

Its awesome since we get to catch all 3 birds with any balls we like as in B/R/Y we can only use masterball And i dint manage to complete it lawl i was trapped at the third island But too bad its now broken and unable to save lol so yeah..
