I'm not exactly sure how ice is Hax when its not like freeze is as predictable as some of the other status effects are really. It's all about the lucky shot XD

Personally, I think the Freeze status needs to have a move similar to Will-O-Wisp so that Ice-types outside of Mamoswine and Cloyster are threatening.

freeze should be something to prepare for, since it renders you completely immobile

i consider it a challenge, if something comes out that can freeze you it forces you to act quickly

No, just no. That would just be stupid. If they did make a move like that it would have like a 40% chance to hit, and that would be hax within itself just like 1hko moves.

Freeze is already an annoying status. At least when you're asleep you can still do something in the form of sleep talk/snore. But when you're frozen, you're left as a sitting duck and unless you have a cleric on your team, that pokemon that gets frozen is useless.

Expected that answer. Perhaps it could be a move only accessible by NPC-only Pokes for the core gameplay in future games?

Even then, it would be banned from online play. I knew that instantly.

Then why post? Anyways, I have had INCREDIBLE luck with freeze in the past, whether it be freezing my opponent for 10 turns or thawing out at the last second. In any case, I consider Freeze just another hax, although powerful, I wouldn't want it to go because as HinDae stated, it is a challenge to overcome and is a part of the game.

I voted "Yes", but not because I don't like Freeze. It's just that it seems to be a rare occurance and don't see it in battle often enough for it to be a popular status ailment.

If they made a move variation like Spore, Toxic etc then I would like it. It wouldn't hurt to have a move like "Ice Freeze" to freeze the opponent for 2 to 3 turns.

I mean we get Spore and putting a Pokemon to sleep is the same thing really, as it renders a pokemon's movements the same way.
