Pokemon Online
Hello, Poke-Center! I'm sure all of you have heard of Pokemon Online: it's a free battle simulator, commonly used by Pokemon Battlers. For those of you who still aren't using it, or haven't heard of it, Then...
(Thanks shofu)

Here's the link

For anyone that doesn't use it, I really recommend giving it a shot. It's basically like the real game minus the lag(unless you have a dinosaur of a computer, and if you do I'm wondering how you can even use the internet right now) and it has no animations. But you shouldn't let the animations bug you.
And if you still prefer wifi, it's still a great source where you can strategize your teams and practice with your created team before you get to work on them in-game.
Also, slight edit real quick. Here's a tip, if you do use it I highly recommend smogon's server. Pokemon online has a completely different tiering system, and imho it's not really that great. Blaziken and drizzle-swift swim is allowed on their server and both are fairly common. I could add more on why I prefer smogon, but I think I'll just stop now :x.

I honestly hate PO, just too much reading D:

Personally I think its great! There's never any connection errors or any of that crap and its a quick and easy way to test out pokes that you aren't sure will turn out well or not.

I downloaded PO a couple of days ago and I like it. You can quickly test out pokes without worrying about communication errors and such. However, it does have its faults. Lack of battle animations often makes me forget what turn it is and who has done what. It also makes it easy to overlook things such as air balloon. Overall, I think it is useful, but it isn't by far a replacement for wifi battles
