It is possible to upload your own .PKM files to the GTS. The file size of the .PKM file that you wish to upload, must be 236 bytes or less. Also, please remember to only upload 4th gen .PKM files to the 4th gen GTS, and to only upload 5th gen .PKM files to the 5th gen GTS. After you receive your Pokemon, if you notice that some details are different than expected, then you have probably uploaded your .PKM file to the wrong GTS.

Once you create a Pokémon, it is sent directly to the GTS. If you haven't connected to the GTS yet, I encourage you to read through this thread in order to connect safely!
