    Physical Swampert

Hey guys I need some help I have an idea for a physical Swampert set but there is one thing that bothers me. In gen 3 Swampert was able to learn Dynamicpunch from a move tutor. So can that same swampert in gen 5 have dynamicpunch when transferred? Thanx for your answers and your consideration.

I've never tried to make a competitive one, but let me try

    Takedown
    Earthquake
    Dynamic Punch/ Hammer Arm
    Aqua Tail

Aqua Tail is 4th only, but on Pokemon Online you can give it to him.

well if you want dynamicpunch then you will need to have torrent...not that you would want damp anyway
but nowadays swampert is used more for support and unless if you have a major dragon weakness on your team ice punch is practically useless
so i would recommend replacing it with SR unless if you already have a SRer...
    otherwise it looks pretty good
Doctor what is meaning of zis?

what is this? i dont even...

Pert is **** at support. CB is the only viable set in this metagame really.

    Swampert@Choice Band
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
    Ability: Torrent
    Nature: Adamant
    -Aqua Tail
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Punch
    -Hammer Arm/Filler

Aqua Tail OHKO's SpDef Skarm which is the only reason it's used over Waterfall.

its not that bad. i would know i've used it and its pretty good
as a matter of fact i was battling dex with a support pert and he said he had absolutly nothing that could take him down
i guess i wasn't really making sense with the whole support stuff
by support i meant SR... SR is as we all know one of the best moves in the game and swampert has access to, add his type coverage and you have yourself a pretty solid lead considering most leads are weak to water (barring the now common mienshao leads) or fighting. and add that his only weakness is hardly ever used anymore that makes him a pretty solid choice for any team

To answer your question about whether or not you can transfer a 3rd gen swampert over and keep its non 5th gen move i'm fairly sure you can. I had no problem transfering over pokemon with moves they couldn't learn from my soulsilver to black. Aslong as its not an HM it should be find. yep i looked all over the place for you nothing says you can't trade you're third gen swampy over sorry if this question was already answered i skimmed over the posts and it didnt seem like any one answered it

OK thanx for help Chibi. It make me laugh when they expect the "standard physical swampert" Then BAM Dynamicpunch to the face!

^ With a long, annoying proccess, you can easily bring a Swampert that knows Dynamicpunch into your black game. Chibi's works too, and another way would be to transfer from your 3rd gen game to a 4th gen game, then use the pokeshifter to bring it into 5th gen... In fact, you MIGHT even be able to breed pokemon that know those impossible moves using tricks like this. I haven't tried it yet, but does anyone know if it works? It's probably the dumbest question ever concieved, but sometimes there are restrictions on these kinds of things that we don't know about until we've wasted 4 hours trying it out, and I refuse to have that happen to me again...
