Anyone remember the purple gorilla Bonzi?

He was part of the program called BonziBUDDY which you would download it from www.bonzi.com and it would download the files from the servers and during the install he would pop up and say that "He is really looking forward to seeing you!".

BonziBUDDY was released in 1999 (as a green parrot called Peedy) and in 2000 he was Bonzi. The software got discontinued in 2005 because BONZI Software had to deal with fines and the company went bust and plus the company added spyware to BonziBUDDY!

But now the website has gone (since 2008), you can download install him and have a nice desktop buddy!

I think I recall using this, but it was only for a short while. The time I did have it though it was pretty useful.
