Depending on how many trades you have completed, theres a man in the Castelia City Pokémon Center that gives you gifts. He´s located on the top floor on the far left. The trades can be from the Pokémon GTS, with your friends over Wi-Fi, the Wireless Union room and even the trades you complete in game. He counts the Pokémon with ID´s different from yours and which thus determines the gifts you´ll receive.
This man only gives you the gifts once, however these giftss aren´t exactly hard to obtain during normal gameplay but the last gift is quite special! Here´s a list of all the gifts you obtain;

An item to be held by a Pokémon. If the holder moves after the foe, its accuracy will be boosted. | 20 |
 Choice Scarf |
An item to be held by a Pokémon. This scarf boosts Speed, but allows the use of only one kind of move. | 30 |
 PP Max |
It maximally raises the top PP of a selected move that has been learned by the target Pokémon. | 40 |
 Master Ball |
The best Ball with the ultimate level of performance. It will catch any wild Pokémon without fail. | 50 |
