Pokémon Global Link is one of the many new features Pokémon Black & White have to offer, this feature allows you to upload your Pokémon Save File to the internet so you can access The Official Pokémon Global Link Website to get Items, Pokémon etc.
How to connect:
There are two ways to sync your game with the Global Link website. The first way is through the Dream Smoke function with Muuna and it´s evolved form Musharna. The second way is through the C Gear. Something to note is that when you sync up, you´re only able to send one Pokémon to the Dream World from your box.
Dream World:
What is the "Dream World"? The Dream World is place in the Global Link website where you can find Pokémon you wouldn´t normally find in the games and do many other stuff like play mini-games, meet other Pokémon and befriend them so you can bring back to the real games, obtain items and grow berries.
Catching Pokémon:
Finding Pokémon in the Dream World can be useful because some Pokémon are exclusive to the Dream World, meaning you can only get them if you connect to the Global Link. Once you have befriended a Pokémon, you have the chance to send it back to your B/W game. Some of those Pokémon have abilities they wouldn´t normally have in previous generations.
Growing berries:
You can´t find Berries in the region of Isshu, the only way you can obtain berries is to grow them in the Dream World. Once your berries have grown you have the ability to send them back to your B/W games.
Rankings:
When you enter a Pokémon Center, you can go to the second floor and battle random people through Wi-Fi, depending on your performence, you will be ranked on the Global Link website.
Downloadable Content:
The Global Link website also provides downloads for your game, you can download backgrounds for your box, C Gear and PokéDex! You also have the chance to download songs for the Pokémon Musical!
