Pokerus is a very rare and special Pokémon virus that is found on a wild Pokémon. if you catch that wild Pokémon with the disease and keep that infected Pokémon in your party, it will spread to other Pokémon in your party. If you have got it and you dont notice, then the Pokémon Center Nurse will tell you.

Pokerus remains infectious in every Pokémon infected, unless it is kept in your party, because at exactly 12:00am your Pokémon in your party, with pokerus, will become immune and won’t be able to spread or recapture the disease. Dont worry though! The effects of pokerus last forever on immune Pokémon, they just lose the ability to spread it to others.

How to Keep Active pokerus, so you cna continue spreading it:

Keep an infected Pokémon in a PC box, not in your party, so that it never becomes immune.

What does pokerus do?

Pokerus is a good thing! Pokémon infected, or immune earn 2 times the normal amount of EV points! So, if you gained 1 point in HP from a caterpie, you’ll earn 2. So you train 2 times faster! Lots of people say it increases your stats. Well, that is true, but it increases the amount of effort values you gain, and as you can only earn 510 ev points, it wont have any effect after they have all been used.

Other Great Items:

A Macho brace, power anklet, power brace, power band, and other power items all increase the amount of EVs earned by 2x. So, if Pokémon had Pokerus and one of these items, it can receive 4 times the ev point gain, and you can train 4 X quicker!
