Nintendo's 2013 E3 presentation is about to start within the next few minutes. With the upcoming Pokémon X version and Y version games, there's sure to be plenty of news to cover!
Check back throughout the day for more E3 coverage!
Pokémon X version and Y version are set to be released globally on October 12th, and will also be available for download in the Nintendo eShop. Super Smash Bros. will be released in 2014 for the 3DS and WiiU.
A Fairy type has been introduced in the upcoming Pokémon X version and Y version games. Some Pokémon that will gain the Fairy type in addition to their existing type, include Jigglypuff, Gardevoir, Sylveon, and Marill. Fairy types are super-effective against Dragon types, and will allow for significant changes to battle strategies.
Another new feature in X and Y is Pokémon-Amie, in which you can feed, pet, and play with Pokémon. And by copying the movements of your Pokémon, you can increase their happiness. For example, if Pikachu tilts its head to the side, opens its mouth, smiles, etc; then matching that movement will please Pikachu. This feature is assumed to use the inner camera of the Nintendo 3DS to perform recognition of facial expression.

Two new Pokémon have also been introduced; Vivillon and Noivern. They can be seen from the screenshots below:

As mentioned before, Super Smash Bros. is coming to the 3DS and WiiU in 2014. Pictured below, Villager and Mega Man have been added as playable characters in the game. So far, the only confirmed Pokémon character to appear in the game is Pikachu.

Type: Electric/Normal
Height: 1' 08"
Weight: 13.2 lbs.
Fletchling
"With a friendly nature and a beautiful chirp, Fletchling is a popular Pokémon among many Trainers. But Fletchling is also known to be ferocious in battle, capable of unleashing relentless attacks! One potent move Fletchling can learn is Flame Charge, which increases the user's Speed in addition to dealing damage."
Type: Fighting
Height: 2' 00"
Weight: 17.6 lbs.
Pancham
"With its trademark leaf always sticking out of its mouth, Pancham tries to intimidate its opponents by glaring at them intensely (although this is rarely successful).
