    Salamence vs Flygon

Hey! I am making a LOOSE themed team of of dragons! This is NOT for competative battle, this is to play the game solo and perhaps to beat some friends at school Thats why this is a general pokemon post rather than competative battle
I do use natures and competative sets but I dont EV train

Here is the team so far

    Dragonite
(bulkynite, softreseted forever to get an adamant extremespeed one)

    Tyranitar

    Charizard

    Gyarados

    Latias

    and then the final slot

I cannot decide between Flygon or Salamence, I love Salamence, always have, but flygon has less weaknesses and a STAB earthquake

    (breeding/rarity is not an issue)

    Thanks for anyones input!!!

i'm not sure if a mod is gonna lock this but I guess that i'll help u:
-Use FLYGON. NOW. It covers your team's weaknesses a bit. Though this team need A LOT of work.
    Just a regular Nintendo fan.
    I also love pokemon competitively!

I personally think Flygon is the better choice become of STAB Earthquake like you said above and access to also STAB Dragon Claw and Earthquake and with less weaknesses, Flygon is a very big threat in Battles so Flygon is the better choice.

    Spoiler!

Flygon, it covers the Electric hits Gyarados would get otherwise. But your team needs quite a lot of work. BoltBeamers can destroy your team using Ice Beam to knock out Dragonite, Latias, and Flygon, Thunderbolt to hit Gyarados and Charizard. :\
This includes, Starmie, Gengar, Thundurus, Jolteon, etc.
And Gengar/Thundurus sometimes have Focus Blast for Tyranitar too.

    @Gengar

Hmm this team is left wide open to Ice, Dragon and Rock type attacks. It needs a lot of adjustments and not even for competitive battle, so I would suggest putting some Water, Steel and maybe a Grass type in there to add variety of typing for when you go through the game.

Dragon types are my favourite too, but having a team mostly consisting of them makes the game much more difficult and you may struggle to beat your friends with this team.

On the subject of Salamence vs. Flygon I see that you have already made your choice and I agree with the others on this one. The only reason of course is that Flygon can switch in on any Electric attacks aimed at Charizard and Gyarados, but that's about it.
