World's Population Reaches 7 Billion

The UN is set to announce that the population of the planet has now reached seven billion people.

But will this number continue to rise in future years - and if so, what could this mean?

The BBC's Fergus Walsh crunches the numbers to find out.

So the world's population has reached seven billion. However there is little worry though. We are still doing pretty well. Interesting note the video says that if we all lived in megacities like Paris than we could all fit inside the area of France.

On a more serious note: If they counted the amount of homeless and poor people, I think the number should have been twice that amount.
