In the beginning of the game, as in any other game, you pick the trainer you want to be (male or female) and then you speak with a bunch of characters and then suddenly you run into two random people who want to battle you. Turns out these people work for Hideyoshi. You start off with an Eevee has previously revealed and your oppenents have a Tepig and Bidoof. Knowing that you're in an unfair battle with 2vs1, Onichi appears and teams up with you to face-off against the two goons. Onichi beats the Bidoof with her Jigglypuff. Then it's your turn, you advance with your Eevee towards the oppenents Tepig and attack him with tackle. It's a OHKO.

We have now completed our first battle!

    Flame Nation

Moving on from the battle against Hideyoshi's goons, you are required to run a few errands with Oichi in the Hajime nation before heading towards Hideyoshi who resides in the Flame Nation. After having a few battles with wild pokemon, you can finally advance to the Flame Nation. Once you arrive in the Flame Nation, Hideyoshi will start talking to you, acknowledging that you are the bushou leader from the Hajime Nation. Hideyoshi challenges you to a battle, however, his goons also jump in making it a 3 vs 2 battle. The battlefield will be a Fire-type arena, giving Hideyoshi an obvious advantage. This is the first instance of a "Type" arena, a battlefield favoring a specific type which would be Fire in this case. You may be inflicted with Burn by Hideyoshi's Chimchar showcasing the first instance of status ailements. You can walk on over to a hot springs to heal your Pokemon at the start of each turn Hideyoshi has a Chimchar and his goons have a Bidoof and Tepig. After defeating Hideyoshi, Keiji will make an appearance. He praises you for your battling skills at your young age but says that you're not good at making friends. After talking with him, you are free to roam the Flame Nation. There will be a market where you can buy potions to heal yourself and other goods.

    Plant Nation

After defeating your opponent in the cave, he joins your team with his Charmander! In addition to that, two new nations will be available for you to access and these nations are Spring Nation and Plant Nation. In the Plant Nation, you will end up meeting with Motonari who will then challenge you to a battle. In this battle, you have to collect all three flags and defeat Motonari along with his teammates. After collecting a flag, it will turn blue and when your opponent captures a flag; it turns red. If your opponent captures all three flags, you automatically lose. If you capture all three flags, you win! You can move towards the small batches of grass that serve as a shortcut to other area's within the field. There are also flowers that throw you to the other side, this also serves as a shortcut. Surprisingly, there are also traps that have you fall into a little hole causing you to miss your turns, unfortunately, there isn't any way for you to notice the trap only until after you get trapped! After two turns, you are finally free from the trap and can now use your turn.

After finally defeating Motonari by collecting all the flags, you take control over the Plant Nation and have two other soldiers on your team.

    Spring Nation

After gaining control over the Plant Nation, you can now proceed to the Spring Nation. When you arrive in the Spring Nation you will meet Motochika who will talk to you about a new leader who is rising in the country. (He is talking about you) Motochika will then challenge you to a battle, he has three soldiers to help him. You should already have around 5-6 soldiers on your team, though. The battlefield is a Water-type area that has water flowing through the middle, you cannot pass by unless you step on the button for the gate to close that will eventually stop the water from flowing through, ultimately allowing you to pass. A great advantage for your opponent is that they have the ability to pass and move over the water. Additionally, when their Pokemon is on the water, their attacks become stronger. Finally, after defeating Motochika, you will have the decision to take his soldiers along with you. Oichi tells you about Nobunaga and how he has control over the region.

Three more nations become available as you take over the Spring Nation and these are the Pupa Nation, Tram Nation and the Fist Nation.

Wild Pokemon in the Spring Nation:

    #129 Magikarp

    [BW]194[/BW]
    #194 Wooper

    [BW]393[/BW]
    #393 Piplup

    Tram Nation

The best decision to take would be to head straight to the Tram Nation first, it is the easiest one to beat after the Spring Nation. Tram Nation's general is Ginchiyo, she specializes in Electric-type Pokemon and has a Luxio. Tram Nations battlefield, as you would expect it to be, is an Electric-type field with several pits that have electricity flowing through them. In addition to that, the battlefield is separated into four blocks with a specific color. Each color block represents a button with the same color that, once stepped on, sends massive amounts of lighting bolts to hurt you and your opponent.(Regardless if it's your opponent standing on the block, it will still be dealt with damage) Trapping your opponents into any of these blocks would be a great advantage to you and vice versa. After defeating Ginchiyo, you have the decision to take her soldier with you. Suddenly, Keigi appears out of nowhere starts talking to you. He starts suggesting that you befriend Pokemon as they will come in handy to you in the future.

How to Link with wild Pokemon:
In order to befriend a Pokemon you must meet it in the wild. When you're moving around during a battle with a wild Pokemon you will notice a small medal that has a bunny shaped figure in the middle, floating on top of the Pokemon. The color of the medal will indicate the compatibility with you and the wild Pokemon. If the medal is Gold, then compatibility will be high, if the medal is Silver then compatibility will be medium, if the medal is Bronze then compatibility will be low and finally if there's a red cross on top of the Pokemon then it means that the Pokemon is not compatible at all. If the Pokemon is compatible, all you have to do is head towards the Pokemon and press the A button (as you would normally do when you attack it) and click on the "Link" button.

You will then be taken to a small mini-game where you will see Energy Balls flowing to the right side. Your objective is to tap the A button as it gets near the circle, you have to try and get it in the circle. There will be a meter that will indicate how close you are in linking with the Pokemon and once the mini-game is over and you have successfully linked with the Pokemon; the battle will be over and the Pokemon will be yours. Switching Pokemon can be done by accessing the bushou list.

Finally, you must head to the Pupa Nation.

    Pokemon in the Tram Nation:

    [BW]172[/BW]
    #172 Pichu

    [BW]179[/BW]
    #179 Mareep

    [BW]280[/BW]
    #280 Ralts

    [BW]455[/BW]
    #455 Carnivine

    [BW]595[/BW]
    #595 Joltik

    Pupa Nation

THIS POST IS NOT COMPLETE YET!

Once you've arrived to the Pupa Nation, you will confront Yoshimoto. Yoshimoto specializes in Bug-type Pokemon and has a Pineco. The battlefield consists of many traps and giant boulders that you can use to your advantage. In order to hit your opponent with the boulders, you must ensure that your opponent is on the same line as you and the boulders. All you have to do is attack the boulder and it will bounce on top of your opponents Pokemon dealing a decent amount of damage to it. Additionally, if your opponents Pokemon is within range, you can attack him and then hit him with the boulder, ultimately making a combo that deals even more damage. However, you must beware of the traps that the battlefield has, like any other traps, this trap makes you immobile within a cage for 2 turns and makes you vulnerable to your opponent. After defeating Yoshimoto, you will have the decision to take two of his soldiers along with you.

[more information is to be added to this post once translations of the storyline text is complete!]
