Using Armaldo in battle

Most Used Armaldo Set: The sd and rock polish set get a notable mention, since they can both sweep a team with relative ease. Furthermore, under a sand storm weather condition armaldo can prove to be annoying to take down, since it will have defenses of a great level and hp of an even greater level, not to mention that after a sd it’s attack will basically be in the 700’s and with so much bulk it should be a threat to look out for, this is why these 3 sets are so much used.

Usual Counters: Water types, obviously. But it should be noted, that after a sd a lo stone edge can ko all said bulky waters, and even do 88% to suicune, not only that but under ss armaldo will take 70% max from a swampert’s hydro pump, so the rest of the moves from the bulky waters should not really affect you, so with stealth rock and ss up, he really is powerful and hard to take down.

Sets Used To Counter Its Counters: The sword dance set does the job of countering its counters and not only that, but effectively sweeping and being bulky and again, annoying to take down especially under sand storm, basically it can score a powerful ohko on about every bulky water, and basically do a lot of damage to other pokemons, whilst maintaining relative bulk thanks to sand storm and it’s pretty decent defensive stats.

Armaldo is most used on: Sand storm teams, since under ss it hits extremely hard whilst maintaining relative bulk, or even without ss it’s still scary and should never be underestimated, but sadly, most people do underestimate it, and that ends up in them being swept by it, so you basically shouldn’t do that and you’ll be fine against it if you ever face it.
