Using Magnezone in battle

Most Used Magnezone Set: A set using the following moves; hp ice, thunderbolt, substitude and magnet rise. Also with timid and about 220 speed evs you can outspeed a few notable pokemons, like adamant ttar, adamant breloom, any skarmory etc.

Usual Counters: Infernape might have trouble switching in, but once it’s in then magnezone has to get out. Heatran can switch in with even more ease and threaten to ohko magnezone with a fire blast. Blissey can also switch in to any kind of magnezone that does not carry explosion. Electivire might grab that boost if it switches into thunder bolt and it can basically 2hko magnezone with cross chop while magnezone’s hidden power ice is a 5hko.

Sets Used To Counter Its Counters: Magnezone could run hp ground for infernape, heatran and electivire. It can also run explosion to beat blissey.

Magnezone Is Most Used On: If you ever see magnezone, then you know that the team you’re facing is in desperate need of something that can “get rid” of steels; meaning that the team you’re facing probably has problems with steels and thus you should try to kill magnezone and then wall your opponents team with your steel type pokemons.
