Using Pinsir in battle

Most Used Pinsir Set: Pinsir is usually a scarfed lead, using close combat, earth quake, stone edge, and x-scizor.

Usual Counters: Like Heracross, gliscor is no friends of pinsir, same goes to skarmory. Gyarados and salamence can also intimidate pinsir (if it doesn’t have hyper cutter as its ability) and then set up on it. Weezing can walk over pinsir any day (if it doesn’t have mold breaker as its ability).

Sets Used To Counter Its Counters: It won’t get past gliscor and skarmory any time soon. It can ohko gyarados and salamence with a predicted stone edge (assuming it has the hyper cutter ability) or ohko or 2hko (depends if it’s banded or scarfed) weezing with a predicted earth quake (if it has the mold breaker ability).

Pinsir Is Most Used On: Any offensive or standard ou team. Usually you should focus on what pinsir has over heracross and use what he has over heracross so you can avoid making your pinsir a weaker heracross.
