Using Roserade in battle

Most Used Roserade Set: Roserade is always, and I do mean always, a lead, using, sleep powder, toxic spikes, leef storm and hp ice/fire, this set is very effective, basically survive a hit from a faster pokemon, thanks to focus sash, and if it’s not faster, simply sleep it while you set up toxic spikes as it sleeps, and then after that is done, basically use leef storm to do heavy damage on any switch in.

Usual Counters: Any fire type usually counters roserade, thanks to being resistant to both hp fire/hp ice and leef storm, although, some frail fire types won’t enjoy being poisoned, for example, infernape won’t enjoy poison, since life orb, stealth rock, ss and poison will make it take more damage than it’s hitting for. Heatran also deserves a special mention, since it’s 4x resistant to leaf storm, and hp fire raises its fire attacks while hp ice, is yet again 4x resistant.

Sets Used To Counter Its Counters: Hp ground will be ridiculous on roserade, it might let you beat some of its “counters” but outside of that it really doesn’t do anything other than the other hps, so you should stick with hp ice/hp fire if you want roserade to be effective.

Roserade Is Most Used On: Roserade is one of the best and popular leads in the game, it is usually used on somewhat offensive teams, since its purpose, is to set up toxic spikes, cripple a poke, and once that’s done, do some damage to weaken walls, so that a sweeper can have an easier time sweeping.
