Using Venusaur in battle

Most Used Venusaur Set: A specs set, obviously, since a specs leef storm will hurt like hell on almost every opponent that doesn’t resist it, furthermore, hp fire can help against the pokes that resist leef storm, while sludge bomb is mostly filler and won’t see much use considering it gets horrid coverage.

Usual Counters: Any fire type can effectively switch in, although some specs venusaur’s are starting to carry earth quake just for that occasion so be careful, infernape and heatran are fine examples, flying types can also work in a similar fashion.

Sets Used To Counter Its Counters: Earth quake can be used for said fire types, and you might catch them while they switch in if you have good prediction. Hp ice can also be used for flying and dragon types, but usually hp fire is better for steel types, it’s usually a matter of preference.

Venusaur Is Most Used On: There’s nothing really special about venusaur, it’s stats are balanced on both sides, which means that you will see it on any type of team, these sort of pokes that don’t reveal anything about the opponents team are not only good things to use, but also are rare and make the game more unpredictable and in your favor.
