Using Bronzong in battle

Most Used Zong Set: Bronzong is almost always used as a lead, hence it will use a lead set which consists of gyro ball, hypnosis, stealth rock and explosion/earth quake, basically this zong either uses stealth rocks or sleeps the opposition, depending on the situation, then does the move that it didn’t use in the first turn, and finally it will use explosion or gyro ball depending on the pokemon the opponent has sent out. This guy basically cripples 1 pokemon, and then kills like 1 or 2 more pokemons, this is what makes bronzong such an amazing lead.

Usual Counters: Basically if you face trick scarf azelf or trick scarf gengar (if they’re being used as leads) then you will not enjoy them tricking their choice scarf onto your bronzong, hence if you ever see the 2 you should switch out immediately, even if you have a feeling that they aren’t using the trick scarf set, just to basically be safe. Heatran and infernape can also counter it if it doesn’t use earth quake on the turn they switch in.

Sets Used To Counter Its Counters: You can run earth quake and predict the heatran or infernape switch ins, or heck you could even run heatproof bronzong since no one would suspect it and will not use ground moves, thus they will use fire moves which won’t do a lot of damage to bronzong while he sets up rocks and then kills them with earth quake.

Bronzong Is Most Used On: Any standard ou team that is willing to start the match with an amazing lead pokemon like this!
