Using Porygon2 in battle

Most Used Porygon2 Set: Porygon2 can counter a lot of top tier ou threats with the following move set; thunder bolt, ice beam, recover and magic coat. Gyarados, salamence (physical mence), vaporeon, heatran, jolteon and many more top tier ou threats are countered by porygon2. This is all thanks to porygons2’s awesome ability being trace.

Usual Counters: Fighting types such as machamp, heracross, lucario etc. should be looked out for. Like any special attacker, blissey will give porygon2 some trouble, so will snorlax, regice and other special walls.

Sets Used To Counter Its Counters: You could try running psychic for fighting types, but its type coverage is absolutely terrible and will only aid you in beating its fighting type counters. You could try beating blissey by using the charge beam recover set.

Porygon2 Is Most Used On: Once you see a porygon2 lead, you can draw 2 conclusions. Either the team you’re facing has terrible problems with salamence, gyarados, vaporeon and heatran, or that the team you’re facing is semi-stall. If the team you’re facing indeed has problems with salamence, gyarados, vaporeon and heatran, hence the use of porygon2 on it whom can counter all those, then you should try to dispose of porygon2 as soon as possible and then let either salamence, gyarados, vaporeon and heatran cause havoc on your opponents team after porygon2 is gone.
